Hi George,
AS number can be transferred in the RIPE region.

As 16-bit AS numbers are close to being depleted and to avoid speculations, it
was suggested during the discussion to fix the fact that there are n
Hi Nikolas,
Thank you for the work and this update.
Could you or Marco perhaps provide a quick update on what the current status is
in the inter-rir transfer status between APNIC and RIPE region, after the APNIC
exec-board announced that it would hold transfers until further notice earlier

Although I see the intent of the policy, the question that I have is :
If a PI space holder is offering free wifi .. they are offering an access
service for other to be used in their building or realm ... that qualifies as
their infrastructure ...
The users of the service, are not making any
This is also my interpertation...
If you use DHCP of any kind on the network to randomly provide a number for a
device to connect to the network on a temp lease, it isn't an assignment to the
letter of the policy. That is also not how the intent of the policy was
written.
If you assign a num
Hi Gert,
I know you well enough to not take this personal and if you are not responding
to me on a couple nudges, you must have a good reason for it.
Thank you for the work and lets get started on the last call on this.

Hi Alexey,
A LIR can have infrastructure on PI address space.
So, yes. The LIR in that case is the end-user. And PI spaces assigned to the
LIR entity can be changed to PA.

Hi,
I would like to add to the discussion first that I support the idea of the
proposal.
There has been some discussions by some in the community that there should be
some kind of stop mechanism. Both on the Ap-wg ML and during the meeting in
London.
The discussion itself currently doesn't
Hi Nick,
Gathering resources just for the idea of collecting resources isn't what is
intended in any of the transfer policies. Not for this one, or for the others

The intention as explained for the policy for both v6 an AS numbers is to
enable companies to actually consolidate their LIR's
Hi Petr,
Besides the fact that all discussion and input on the named policy is currently
out-side the discusssion phase.. So the input can't be taken into account ...
Could you provide insight in which universe the RIPE NCC is still allocating

Hi Gert,
There are a couple things that I keep reading and hearing in the discussion
here..
Run-out of 16 bit as's and garbage collection..
May I suggest to Job to look into the following to see if that would fit his
plan moving forward and is in line with what the community thinks is
