We upgraded recently from ADSM 3.1.0 to Tivoli 3.7.0 on 12/10/2000, the operating system is AIX 3.7. Our expiration process that is scheduled daily is not expiring as many backup objects as it was prior to the upgrade. The library is split to accommodate backup and archives. The 3494 library

I haven't worked with these specific devices but it sounds similar to problems I've had with others. I would go back to basics and check scsi cabling, configs (system check prior to *SM) and run any system diags you have. I have had a problem different times with just a slightly loose scsi
