Hi Denis Your scenario should work. You should indeed do a format db. The database and recovery log should be formatted before TSM can fill them by using the restore db command. You will however have to do a upgrade db. This is only done automatically if you perform an in-place upgrade from ADSM

Try not using the -w command this could be causing the long restore time... try using onbar -b -l0 and when it restores it will restore individual tablespaces that it wrote to multiple tapes.. multi streaming versus single streaming. Thanks Marc _

Not all STK Libraries require acsls, but the powderhorn does. We have 2 powderhorns in a SAN using STK 16 port switches (brocade), 10 9840FC Drives and a Dell 6450 Win2k Cluster running TSM 4.1.2. We use STK Libattach software to make up the communications between TSM and ACSLS. -Original
