Hi Matt!
I forgot to mention another cause: have you performed the relinking
procedure? If so, did you specify the correct libobk.a? In the
$ORACLE_HOME/lib there should be a correct link to the TSM libobk.a.

Hi:
Earlier this year we migrated to 3.7.2 from 3.1.
That involved a database migration, but otherwise was straightfoward.
Has anyone gone through the 3.7.2 to 4.1 migration?
Is there a database migration involved?
Any licensing issues?
Any gotchas that anyone has experienced?

Hi Matt!
The BACKUP_DIR should be listed in your tdpo.opt. It specifies the client

Thanks for that!
I have just had another look through the TDPOracle documentation and still
can't find a reference to this though; do you know where it is mentioned in
the documentation?
Thanks,

There are so many ways to delete the backup piece from RMAN. First, use

Then you will have to use 'change ... delete' command. These commands are

Solution:
Purge virus.Rename filespaces or nodes to .old. Re-backup

They probably want make sure the virus is not restored. You have
saved the data you have in case it is lost from the virus, and you have a

Larry,
Well.. it all depends on how you are running it.
If you use a COMMAND type schedule to launch
a batch file, then
We run Tivoli 4.2 on AIX (4.3.3) with a primary emphasis on backing up
Informix databases using the Informix TDP. We defined a database
management class for the database backups, with retain extra versions set

I can think of two options.
1) Save an additional backup of your (ADSM) database, and take
measures to ensure that the tapes upon which your (Informix)
database reside do not get reused.
This will allow you to restore the ADSM database at some stage
in the future, and the tapes that
It might be feasable to export that node, depending on how big it is. Then
you can let regular backups on the node expire normally.

You might try
