How do you set-up management classes for Informix backups using the
Xopen API.
I need to keep the Informix logical logs and the Level1 and Level0
backups for 40 days.

You cannot do a back-up of the system partition when configered as
clusternode! In short. One dsm.opt does the cluster controlers and one
dsm.opt does the cluster. So remove the clustercontroler drives from the
cluster dsm.opt. DOMAIN D: Q:, whereis d: clusterdata. Its al in the
readbooks.
I had gone through www.tsmmanager.com. , found that its useful for TSM on
WINDOWs. is there any version like this for AIX also.

everything you did and finally called Tivoli Support.
This is a known problem, The APAR for the license problem is IC30965
You need to upgrade to 4.2.1.7.

called Galaxy(Comvault), you should look at what it can do, and yes I
