Actually, that page is slightly misleading. Because StorageTek can equip
their libraries with any vendor LTO drives you may need different driver
and the site specifies only one of them. For STK with IBM LTO drives, OS
native IBM driver should be used. For STK with HP or Seagate drives, TSM
driver

Right now this tape is in pending status, so I have some time to enjure that
there is another copy of these files.
If there is a way to find their names . when even query content didn't
work before delete volume.

from inner to outer (analogous to optical media).

Similar problem here. Bought four Imation tapes into IBM 3584 with drive firmware
3481 and library firmware 3060,
got write error on all four tapes at around 38% of 190734.0GB estimated cap.

Not 100% sure about running on AIX, but we run 17 TSM servers on OS390 and have some
running 30 DB vols at 2.4 GB per vol, we have no degradation from it. We have been

According to the training manuals for TSM 4.X and 5.X, you should not have
more than 12 DB volumes. Yet we have 16, and at one point we had 32 and saw
no performance degradation. There seems to be no end to the debate on this
issue. We are on AIX 4.3.3 and have been with this config from 4.2.X
I use Mozilla as my browser and I currently have J2RE 1.4.1_03 installed. I
get Java errors with the web admin GUI. What version of the JRE works with
TSM 5.1.

onsite tape pool. Anyway, here's my script that I use to do it. I run a query of
volumes I want to work on to a file and then read in the file and pass each parameter
into a TSM command. The parameter
