I just saw a page on the TSM support site that had steps for a weekly backup
of the system object. Create a schedule with OPTION='-DOMAIN -SYSTEMOBJECT'
for the daily backup and another that does a full incremental on a weekend.
Haven't tried it, but thought it was interesting to remember.

Imperfect collocation occurs when collocation is enabled, but there are
insufficient scratch tapes to maintain 100% separation of data. For
example, if you have five nodes but only four scratch tapes in the pool
and collocation by node is enabled, then volumes will be shared to some
extent by the
We have done the following to only allow 10 versions of system objects... Works Great!
Created a management class called SYSTEM_OBJECTS

Can someone give me some suggestions on how to deal with these errors.

From what I have understood is when you use w2k3 feature Shadow Copy

I'm no Windows expert, but from what I understand, WMI pertains only to
Windows 2000 and XP backups. But I may be missing something.

Hi all
I have two TSM servers connected to LTO 3583 located 300 KMs apart and the
dbabckup for the same happens locally. I then send the dbbackups to

Is it possible to take the dbbackup of server-A to the site-B drive and

if you have license for the DR manager (the tsm enterprise edition) you
can do server 2 server virtual volumes.
Works pretty good here, look in the manual on how to set it up. (is
pretty straight forward)
You need a tcp ip connection on port 1500 (and maybe 1501 also) between
the server ofcourse.
From http://bb4.com/ select 'support' (http://bb4.com/support.html) and then
'Enhancements and Plugins' (http://www.deadcat.net/) then search on 'larrd'.
Here's the short-form writeup:

we tried that but the elektromagnetic radiation of the
