Can you tell me if the following scenario is supported?

Try delete some diskpool volume in TSM (this on during migration you have

Patricia,
You will need Data Protection for Exchange version 5.2.1
in order to back up Exchange Server 2003.
You can find that information here:

I had an LPAR dedicated to TSM - (200Mips) on a z/900.
This LPAR did NOTHING but TSM.
When your database starts going over 40Gig you WILL NOT compete

How many concurrent TSM sessions does your TSM server handle currently?

I don't believe there is any real priority numbers for these tsm server
processes.
There is however tape mount preempt priorities. That priority list can be
found in the
TSM server admin guide..

What kind of operation are you running? SELECTIVE or ARCHIVE? Are you

I have not had a chance to test this yet but if your script is getting a return code

If that is true then that is insane. A nice feature of the TSM Operational
I know of a site that runs a copy of the dsmerror and dsmsched logs to a network share

They then have a script that looks at all the logs in that directory and produces some

I would try looking in the dsmsched.log . That should have a more

The only thing that goes everywhere TSM goes, is ... TSM.

Hmm, a loaded question with 100s of tape vendors claiming
cheap/fast/good drives.
I'm sure there are lots of cheap ones, however we don't buy
cheap, we buy for the long-term.
Currently the cheapest drives we use are LTO2 drives.

I like your email address Mr. TSM_User.
I had not necessarily thought of it, but you are correct. All incremental

This does make it much more difficult to extrapolate which systems need
their inclexcl files adjusted.
