If you can't wait We use a Linux box to SMB mount the log directories, most are W2K boxes. Then you can use your favorite UNIX tools to search for results. I use ht://Dig, http://www.htdig.org/, it can be configured for text searches through log files. With some basic scripting you can setup

There is very little information in this post to really tell what might be happening here. The first suggestion, however, I would make is to upgrade the TSM server and storage agent to a level of 5.2.2 or higher. The reason for this is that there were numerous performance improvements made

I'm not sure how your schedules/includes/excludes are setup, but it seems odd that it's trying to do an incremental backup of eDir. Only full backups of eDirectory are allowed/supported. Depeding on whether this is a TFS or NSS volume, you may also want to risk doing a vrepair. Troy Frank
