Upgrade from Server 5.2 to 5.3 (Linux)

The distribution is Suse Linux 5.1 and the kernel being used is 2.4.19-64GB-SMP. We have two IBM 4560 tape drives (master-slave). Am I going to be able to upgrade at this kernel level? what drivers do I need? I have been to ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/storage/devdrvr/Linux/ but it's still not

Hi We use Tivoli Storage Manager Client for z/OS OMVS (USS / UNIX) Version 5, Release 1, Level 6.0. How can we avoid that when a file is corrupt that the Tivoli client just ignores this file and proceeds instead of stopping / crashing? Thanks for any help, kind regards Werner Nussbaumer

Thank you for your answer. In my opinion if 99.9 percent of the files are backupable then TSM should backup them. If it tries to backup a file and the system returns any error condition it should simply pass an information about this and should try the next file. I don't want TSM to evaluate

I question why so many tape drives, tape drives are expensive. Perhaps those backups should be going to disk storage pools on $ 500 disk drives instead of buying more $15,000 tape drives. We make good money selling those tape drives, but adding tape drives is the more expensive way to accomplish
