Hi Boris! Just install it over the current version, uninstall is not needed. The drives are managed through the Atape driver, so the are not touched by the atldd driver. It just manages the communication from the AIX host to the library (mount/demount requests etc.). Kindest regards, Eric van Loon

I thought about archives too but this would be causing bandwith problems (less then 1 Mbps) with remote WAN sites. The first incremental 'full' backup will take a rather long time, but the bandwith could be increased then as this happens only once. And the TDP backups must be included too.
