Afternoon all
Currently investigating upgrading from TSM5.1 to
5.3.x, O/S Solaris 5.9.
I have searched around the ftp site though having problems locating the
5.3.x server software can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Hi Scott!
Since TSM 5.3 requires a new license, you cannot download the base code from
the FTP server. If your company is are a Passport Advantage member, you can
download the base code from there.

Hello there,
I have to upgrade ITSM Server from 5.1.6.1 (to 5.1.10) to add 3592 support,
platform is AIX 5.2.3/32Bit.
Due to license/migration issues we will stay at 5.1.
Are there any hints/drawbacks in doing this migration?
Any help is appreciated!

Hi Boris!
Just install it over the current version, uninstall is not needed.
The drives are managed through the Atape driver, so the are not touched by
the atldd driver. It just manages the communication from the AIX host to the
library (mount/demount requests etc.).

These drives are FC-AL, which tells you they are loop devices. On the switch,

I thought about archives too but this would be causing bandwith problems (less
