I have a Windows 2003 TSM server with LTO2 and 3 tape drives with
Ultrium driver 6.0.8.2, everytime it reboots it loses the ultrium device
drivers on some of the LTO2 and 3 tape drives. The actual SCSI ids
change i.e. lb0.1.0.9 then after reboot it becomes lb0.1.0.10. Dioes
anyone know why
We have a server TSM version 5.2.3.0. This server between his clients has a
node Windows NT 4,0 with the client of installed version 5.1.7.0.
The question is if it is possible from another client with vesion 5,3,0,0 to
erase some archives of files them of the client with version 5.1.7.0,
without

Legato was bought by EMC.
As of now, AFAIK, the DiskExtender product that used TSM as a backstore
is no longer marketed.
TSM for HSM is a replacement for it.

We havw been using DiskXtender for about 4 years with TSM on the back end
and woeks great for mid to large files but
you have to be carefull when you have millions of small files, not a good
fit with small file. I am lucky that we have 1/2 gb file to 1.4 gb files to
work with.

Many moons ago, I asked why there was not an option to just export the database
info for a node and allow the storage pool tapes to be used from the new server
after an import. A much speedier method then the practice of exporting all the
