Hi,
we have tsmserver 5.3.3.2 / Client 5.3.3.0 - on solaris
The Copy-Group looks like:
Policy Policy Mgmt Copy Versions VersionsRetain
Retain
Domain Set Name Class Group Data Data Extra
Only
Name Name Name
Environment:
Windows 2003 SP1, all patches
TSM 5.3.3.1
ISC 6.0.1
I´m trying to extend my Administration session timeout for ISC, but it wont
change. Running SupportUtil.bat, logging in, pressing 5 and try to change the
time to 600 minutes at least, so it will be logged on during the day.
Rainer,

instead of running a full disk scan at the point of backup.
I have a file server at a remote location connected via a
Hi Rainer,
I have tested the 'verexist' option and can see that

I can do for example 6 incremental backups on the same always changing

Now the query on the inactive Files only shows up 5 Versions of that

Hi,
Since you don't state which operating system you are using I will assume it's
Windows. For that you can use two utilites, one from SysInternals, called
FileMon and which freeware. Here is a snip of product information from their
homepage http://www.sysinternals.com

Journaling will cut down the time it takes your remote client to scan
its filesystem, but it won't reduce the amount of data you have to send
over that leased line - which is really causing your problem?
Sounds like subfile backup might be more useful to you than journaling.
It will actually

Look in the TSM 5.3 Problem Determination Guide for location and use
of the utility for 5.3.
In TSM 5.2, at least, it was an unsupported utility...

Keep in mind that the error code you are getting is found in the script
called startup on /lotus/notes/latest/ibmpow. About a third of the way

But I can open the gui and push a backup and it works fine.
And how come if

Richard (et.al.)- I've been on the trail to find this utility for over a
year now. The Prob. Determination Guide talks about its use as does the
PowerPoint presentations from several webinars on Journaling but the
utilities for TSM5.3 don't seem to be available (they don't come on any of
