I think you can use the command export node with the parameter
filedata=none. Example:
export node test filed=none tos=server1
Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi All,
I'm trying to add a DataDomain DD530 (running DDR 4.5.2.5-76716) to a
Windows (2003 SP2) TSM Server (5.5.1.0). I can add a CIFS share from the
DD530 without problems and also create maps/folders and files on it from
Windows.
When I issue the following command from TSM:

Hi all
Quick question.
Am I right in thinking that if I have collocation set for a primary storage
pool and I run out of scratch volumes that TSM will just try to put data on any
other volumes with free space?
Thanks

Yes we are running as local Administrator for the server.
We can map the share to a drive letter (we used K:) and we are then able
to create maps/folders and/or files on the share.

I never used, but I think that might work for you...
If you use the command UPDATE LIBV, then you can change the owner of the
volumes...

When you do the mapping, it's done with the rights you are logged in with
(Administrator).
The system account doesn't have the same rights (in fact it usually has NO
rights to use network resources) and that is the account the TSM server
service is using.
Go to Windows Services, look at the

Windows System Account have no Network access to any network share (CIFS/NFS),
it can only access to local attached devices.
If you start dsmserv.exe via command when you are logging as Administrator, the

The best way is to export directly, not via tapes. Use the export node

Hi, Group,
Is there a script to get total size of certain file space.
e.g. Windows server, given server name and drive name, find out how much
backup/archive space is used on TSM?
Thank you,

Hope everyone is well in these trying times.
Does anyone know if there's a way other than tracking occupancy to see
if RMAN is passing deletes to TSM for Oracle TDP clients? We've had

I am installing the TSM for Sharepoint Server and Media Server on the

You install the Client (aka Agent) on all the front-end servers and
SQL server. I am unfamiliar with the Middleware Server. What else do
you have on it?
thanks!

Hi Charles,
Have you tried using tdposync? The tdposync utility checks for items on the
Tivoli Storage Manager server that are not in the RMAN catalog. This
utility allows you to repair such discrepancies between the Tivoli Storage
Manager server and the RMAN catalog.
