Tiago,
There is a section in the User's Guide that discusses this exact topic.
Please take a look.

Tiago,
To schedule backups of the SQL databases, you will need to do the
followings
* In TSM define 2 COMMAND schedules; one to perform the DIFF or INCR
TDP backup (daily will work) and the other to perform the FULL backup
(weekly will work). Here is an example of how your FULL schedule will
look
The alter tablespace command is an Oracle command, not a TSM command.
If you were getting error with the library manager (TSM), you would
see problems with allocating a channel. I would get with your DBA to
do some investigation on this table. The BRBACKUP command just issues
Oracle commands

You don't necessarily need to create another TSM Scheduler service for the
TDP SQL backups. Just use the same nodename and scheduler service for the
regular B/A client incremental backups. You would just have 2 schedules to
the same node. Make them for different times. This also guarantees that
The dsmfmt command does still exist for the Windows platform. On my system,
it is located in c:\program files\tivoli\tsm\console.

You will need to do a stand-alone log extension. Use dsmfmt -log ...etc
followed by a dsmserv extend log etc. - see the admin ref appendix for a
stand-alone log extension. after that, start the server - suggest in an os
prompt so that you can see the messages. once you're up, reduce log by
I don't have a windows server at my disposal, but I believe that you
create additional db and log volumes using the management console on
that platform. After creating a new log volume, you can then run the
dsmserv extend log command.

Bill,
You are correct about not needing to create another TSM scheduler
service for the TDP backups and using a single node. It is a matter of
personal preference; I find it neater to have a regular Baclient node to
perform the normal backups and a separate TDP node in a domain dedicated
to the
