Guys,
I'm scratching around trying to find out if TSM/ZFS play ball when it comes
to raw volumes for DB and Log volumes. The published IBM recommendation for
Solaris DB, Log and Stgpool volumes is still to use raw partitions for 5.5,
but I'm not seeing anything specific in the way of support
restore does not ask for pass phrase while the file has been backed up using
a password. What could be wrong?
(backup and restore are on the same node)
Thanks,
Mehdi
Hi Everyone,
This is for a z/Linux server. I was just trying to set the options file for
lnbrtzda38 with the following command when I get these errors:
chln957/home/notes5tivoli/tsm/client/domino/bin/domdsmc_notes5/dsm.opt
domdsmc_notes[927]: /notes/exec.nbf: cannot create [Permission
I'm being asked for a list of all TSM security alerts/issues. I'm not
finding a list on the IBM support web page.
Is there a list of TSM security vulnerabilities anywhere?
We've got a case open with support, but thought to ask here also.

Parametr Encryptkey has 3 options.
By default it is Encryptkey=save - TSM save encription key in TSM password

You need to delete the tape from the Volume history.
Use this command carefully.
del volh todate=today tot=now type=remote volume=t00015 force=y
Raise your hand if you use volsers starting with T.

Are you using a Library Manager?
If so, you need to remove the volume history for that volume by typing
this command on the library manager instance:
del volhistory todate=today T00015 force=yes
That should get rid of all associated volume history transactions.
