Hi have the same approach as Leandro with this kind of error on Linux clients. I create a script to automate the backup with those export commands : export LANG=he_IL.utf8 export LC_CTYPE=he_IL.utf8 dsmc I -su=yes . And run a scheduler client with the option command Regards Robert

Good Morning, I can tell you about the hardware itself. We have two T950s in use now. Purchased one in 2008 the other was purchased in January. Both are LTO-4 with 10 drives. The hardware is rock solid. We have not had to place a call on either. We have 24/7 maintenance now but are considering

I have about 10 years of experience with Spectra libraries and we are a reseller of them so take my comments with the appropriate grains. They are highly engineered libraries with tons of features. In general they are very reliable and Spectra support is quite good. I think Nick's comments

The one 5.5 to 6.1 upgrade I performed involved a 100GB DB of which ~70GB was used. It took ~24 hrs to complete using the network method (Which wasn't the bottleneck - Over a 1GB network - the new TSM server had 16GB RAM and something like a sick 8 CPU dual core count). I could see that it
