Thanks Jim, I'v been working with TSM and oracle support for this problem for
the last 3 weeks.
It looks like our problem was with the volumes that were in the filling status.
Once I set all the volumes to readonly I was able to restore files.
We also use the Data Domain 880 but have TSM on L
According to the below link, there may be issues restoring a VM to a cluster
configured differently from my production cluster (e.g., a DR site).
Has anyone else experienced this?
If it is an outstanding issue, does anyone know of a workaround or a fix from
IBM?

Similar lack of reorg on our system. TSM 6.2.2.30 on Win 2008/R2.
I have dsmserv.opt set for reorg enabled, disabled at DB2.
If I issue Q OPT, I don't see the reorg options listed.
My IBM techie implied that 6.2.3, to be released soon, should fix reorg.
The current TDP for VE does not currently support backups for VMs with
Independent disks. I'm curious if anyone knows when that will change? Or, if it
will not change, perhaps an explanation why?
Thanks.
Ray

We got the same problem here.
A IBM techie told me once that the database-disk at most 50% full for reorg to
kick in, but it didn't help when I moved it to a half-full disk and no visible
reorg happends ever..

Hi,
some questions according deduplication:
1.) when a client backups deduped to a small, but fast filepool (for daily
amount), and the rest resides in the successor pool, is it deduped all
over the machine, or just for that small pool?
2.) when migrating from one Filepool to the other (both ded

Hi Timothy,
You are referring to the "q ar" command? That would be TSM client only. The
TSM server does not understand the TSM client commands.
As I mentioned, you can also try the Web Client GUI to navigate the
archives for that file system. Another alternative is to see what's
available on the
Thanks Andy,
They (Novell/Netware client) use the command line for some reason we haven't
been able get the Web client graphical interface via a web browser to work on
Novell Netware as I recall.

We just resolved a problem with tape drive paths for library clients
dropping offline. We have been rolling over test systems to new servers
which use shared NPIV based HBA's (AIX lpars sharing VIO based hba's). We
were running v5.4.1 StorageAgents, which turns out don't support NPIV. The
