As I mentioned, initial startup showed messages about schema updates but
the server itself doesn't become available/accessible until after that is
completed. During my many test startup/shutdowns after Andy's initial
response, I did see various messages about DB reorgs kicking in at various
times
I run reclaim stg offsitecopy thre=60 du=600 to kick off the process.
Sometime I vary the duration or threshold but I still get this error every
time and I get it almost continuously:
ANRD Thread32 issued message from:
ANRD Thread32 07FEF7A56A99 OutDiagToCons()+159
ANRD
I just started a reclamation process to make sure but all I get is a message
saying that the reclamation process started then the errors show up.
Looks like call to IBM is next...

Absolutely no other messages jsut before the ANRD's?
Either way, I think your looking at logging a call with IBM (if you've not
already).

Keith,
To do this accurately, it is necessary to build a kind of state map of
sessions and processes and file/tape opens and closes.
In the actlog, file/tape opens and closes are recorded with the volume name
and linked to the session/process number that originated the request. (This
Due to a discovery request, a department has come to us to retain all their
backups, including any DELETE objects.
They requests for us to create a backupset. But from what I have ready,
this wont work since one an object has been deleted and RETO kicks in, it
is no longer active. Is this
You may generate backupset from point in time, so the older version of file
will be placed on the tape, but still it will be one version only.

Richard,
Thank you for that detailed answer. It sounds difficult to track and map, and
possibly difficult to correlate increases and decreses of numopenvolumesallowed
with system throughput. TSM likes no easy answers.
Best wishes,
Keith
How about just pick big (ish) number and keep an eye out for mount
waits/failed jobs (i'm assuming you'll get a mount wait if the number isn't
big enough - that may not be correct)
Not scientific I know - but much easier :)

Hi All,
I am looking for opinion about HSM 6.3.0.1.
After upgrade to HSM 6.3.0.1 form 6.1.4 and after that it stops to recall files.
The configuration is two node cluster running on windows 2008 r2
Best regards
Chavdar
I think if you do a MOVE NODEDATA to migrate data from one primary pool
to another, the data in the copy pool stays intact. I don't think there
is a way to expire it other than through the normal node-prompted
expiration.

Hi Chavdar,
If you have any issues with the HSM then should you probably send more
information.
I have a GPFS/HSM issue with 6.4.0.0 where it calls back to much information.
