We've had some really nasty logpin issues as wellsince I don't remember the
particulars with great clarity, here's my notes:
possible causes:
- backups that span more than one tape; the pin occurs at the time the first
tape starts to rewind and another tape is needed

We are working on illuminating our netapp storage system.
There are six top level volders which the users of this storage wish archived
before it goes away.
We do not have any tsm connections to the netapp directly.
I would like to use an existing server to archive the folders via UNC path.
With the TS3500 scheduled to appear next Monday, I am triple-checking my
list of things to do in preparation of the install, Memorial Day weekend.
I have a question related to the server software. In the past, when
installing a TSM server, I always excluded/ignored the option of installing

Don't know about Windows, but since it is an IBM device, on AIX you use Atape
and on Linux you use lintape instead of the TSM drivers. So for unix, the
answer is no.

Hi,

I'll be retiring in a few weeks, and just wanted to take a moment to thank
everyone who participates on this list. I still see posts from some names I've
seen since I first joined this list around 1998. I was running Adstar
Distributed Storage Manager, Version 2 back then.
Once again, thank you

However, I am told by our windows admins that the system user may not have
