The web client is the mini-webserver that runs a java b/a client and installed optionally as a part of the client software. As far as I know, this is the only way to get a GUI to perform NDMP restores and is the only way to access the NDMP DAR functionality. "restore node" commands on the server

Thanks for clarifying that. I didn't know the "web client" on the server was still available? I haven't used that since we got TSMManager to manage the TSM/SP servers. With all the require security enhancements, looks like we won't be going to 8.1.2 for a while. Still need to get to 8.1.1.
