Yuri,
AIX JFS1 filesystems have a maximum file size limit of 64G. The filesystem output
you've given looks JFS1 so I'll assume that /vol1 is JFS1. If you recreate the
filesystem as JFS2 you should have better luck.

for LAN' license field should be updated to
'managed system for LAN CPU' to be in line with the actual license model. This is my
take on the issue anyway.
If the above holds true, I would not worry about moving any of the old node data.
Just leave it as it is.

I assume that a month end backup will be used to restore individual mail items/boxes
where required sometime down the track. How about using ExMerge (sp?) to create .PST
files once a month and archive them? Should make restoration much easier as well as
being a simple task to create and track
of the number of recipients, wheres each
relevant .PST will have a copy.
On the plus side, however, ExMerge does not need to be run on the Exchange server
itself. You can create and archive the .PST files on any TSM client that has the disk
space (perhaps older, cheaper disk).

When I last checked (about a month ago), you cannot boot AIX from fibre attached tape
(disk is ok). You would definitely have to boot from other media (eg CD) to use these
tapes. You would then have to manually mount the tape by taking the library offline
and using the library front panel

Zlatko,
I ran the old adsmtape utility against a DLT4 TSM 4.1.5 tape and a list of
filenames scrolled up my screen. I couldn't get the data off (yet) but the
tape certainly seemed to know what files it had.

Paul,
Where do you get the figure 33MB/sec?
11000MB / 7200sec = 1.53MB/sec

Hello
Prather,
We don't have any DB backups older than 7 days. They are only used for DR
purposes. I wish it was that simple.
