Avy... In TSM whenever you open a browser a parent session gets started on
the TSM server. Also when a schedule kicks off a parent session will open.
If TCP/IP failures occur the parent session tries to re-establich
communications with the server.
The main thing to remember is the parent session

Just delete the volume from the copy storage pool and TSM will takecare of
the rest. In short, TSM will backup the data from the primary pool to the
copy storage pool.

When we had that issue, I had to checkout tapes from our primary pool to
temporarily
free up slots for scratch tapes. The issue was finally solved by upgrading
our 12 LTO I
drives to LTO II. Then we migrated to LTO II tapes.
