Hi All,
I know we all grapple with outdated online documentation from time to time.
Does anyone have a suggestion for the best way to request IBM update an out of
date technote? I've already submitted feedback via the 'rate this page' link.
Is it better to open a service request? To me that

Rick,
Thank you for letting us know about this. It would be interesting to know if
related messages were captured in the db2diag.log when this started to manifest
itself.
Best,

Zoltan,
This does seem to happen frequently. I was looking at the most recent security
bulletin for CVE-2014-4813, posted yesterday, and found this page, updated

Rick,
You can download it (6.3.5.000-TIV-TSMALL-AIX) from Fix Central. Here's the
link that got me there:

Hi All,
I have a TSM 6.3.4.200 server running on AIX 6.1, which I'd like to upgrade
primarily to patch SSL/TLS vulnerabilities, and of course, to take advantage of
some newer features. My prime concern is retaining backward compatibility with
some older clients (5.5, 6.1), which we need to
Hello,
We've done a couple of test installations of the 7.1.1.1 TSM client on Mac OS
X 10.10 (Yosemite) and have not been able to start the dsmcad. I can see the
daemon does load, but it never actually starts. No errors are written to
dsmerror.log . 'StartCad.sh' incorrectly reports it as

Hi all,
Does anyone know when a TSM client will be available/approved for Mac OS X

Many thanks.

Hi All,
During our morning DB2 reorg window, I've been observing a table reorg of the
BACKUP_OBJECTS table using the command db2pd -d TSMDB1 -reorg. It starts and
later pauses without appearing to do any work. I'm assuming this because
'CURCOUNT' is not incrementing, and remains at '0'. It
'SKIPNTPermissions Yes' placed in the dsm.opt file can do this, but works on
all NTFS files; I don't believe you can specify particular filespaces, folders,
etc. Use with caution, since there will be no NTFS security information
available to restore.

Hi Rick,
Have you tried pinpointing the problem using some of the show commands? I'd
take a look at:
show resq (to see if there are any waiters)
Try to correlate a particular session with the problem using the following:
show threads
show locks
show txnt
(I believe those are fairly well
