between the two. Of course, TSM doesn't like it when path names change. I
am thinking the possible solutions are either to get Linux to stop
flipflopping the serial numbers or to tell TSM not to give a rip about the
serial numbers. Trouble is, I can't figure out either way.

Good point about the separate location. Maybe we'll practice a DR

Not really sure how much it would cost to add an AIX lpar to a 570-7748
iSeries (software wise - I realize there will be considerations for RAID
controllers, etc).
Of course the real question is: Is AIX that much more reliable to run TSM
on than Linux?

I opened up a pmr. IBM's response was that the ptf is misleading. The
readme for TSM 5.2.2 on OS/400 pase says to set the Main storage option to
*MINIMIZE for all storage volumes. Explains why the first were set up
this way, but then we forgot and didn't change the new ones.

. Other ones say *NORMAL. What
should they ideally be set to, to work the best with TSM?

Judging by one of your other emails, is reclaimation a process to merge

I haven't seen them bounced back to me. Does this list not bounce the
