upgrade the backup-archive clients.
If you do not upgrade your servers first, communication between servers and

My issue is the delete filespaces on the replication server is taking
forever. It took over a week to delete one filespace with 31-million

To me it is highly unusual to take this long. Your thoughts on this?

uming this is
equivalent to RHEL7 which could be the issue/difference. There is only one
src.rpm file for both RHEL6 & 7. All of my TSM servers are RHEL6. Perhaps
it doesn't break / builds clean on 7?

It should be considered an NQR since all he did was select the "D:" drive
and told it to start the restore.
So how can I figure out what is going on?

So we have backed off both the kernel level and lin_tape driver level!
Anyone else have these kinds of adventures with lin_tape?

With pending EOS for 6.3 and 6.4, we are trying to upgrade all clients to
7.1.6.x and higher.
On this one W2K8R2 x32 server, the 7.1.6.4 client/patch
(7.1.6.4-TIV-TSMBAC-WinX32.exe) refuses to install - says the OS isn't
compatible?
What gives?

Any suggestions on how to get TSM to stop trying to access this mount?

Thank you for the information. I check weekly for client/server patches so
I will keep an eye open for this APAR update.

If you Google the error message, someone with a Windows 2016 server is also
experiencing the "1400" problem.
