Regarding this thread... has anyone tried running the new power-server
from IBM with a TSM server?
As it seems to me... you'll get

I've got TSM 5.3.1.1 running on an AIX 5.3 ML1 LPAR with no problems. Even got
the old WEBadmin running again.

Richard,
How did you get the old WEBadmin running again.
I upgraded to TSM 5.3 a couple of weeks ago. The ISC installation failed,
and I have been unable to access the TSM server via a gui to administer
it. Not a big deal for me
W00t ? how did you do it ?

Zoltan,
It has to do with the vpd.properties file (in C:\Windows). You'll have to
delete all lines in that file with regard to ISC or AC
I love IBM's iSeries or new i5's, and OS/400 or i5/OS. Although I can't,
in good conscience, recommend using an OS/400 lpar to run TSM. Even
though they 'give' you TSM with certain package deals. The very last
version of TSM that works on an OS/400 lpar is 5.2.2. And that is only

Hi Luc,
On all platforms running ITSM server you can get performance issues.
Most of them can be solved by tuning things. It would help to know what
kind of performance issues you have and what versions and hardware you
are running.
