We have had a serious corruption issue, and need to do a point-in-time restore
data backed up by node1 to node2. However, we cannot be logged in as node1,
because it is still active and will be backed up tonight during the restore.
Need a quick answer PLEASE.

Use dsmc -virtualnodename node1 or change dsm.opt 'nodename' to node1.

Hi,
Use node access list in backup backup/archive on Node1 to grant access to node2
Make sure that you have enough mounting points/drives for the operation
to speed up restore you can use parallel restore (more then one drive
if node 1 data is on tape)

(in dsmadmc)
GRANT PROXYNODE TARGET=node1 AGENT=node2
(in dsmc on node2)

TSM server? If so, cancel the session and reset the password for node 1 so
node 2 can access it.

Ciao,
or more imple... give the nodename of the source node in dsm.opt of the
crashed node (simple workaround to gain time) and restore what your need,
reset the source node password before starting. This will NOT work for
sysobj or sysstate (depending on your win version).
When you are done,
