Never mind. I missed the end eventlogging command, blind I guess.
The solution is:
dsmadmc -id=*** -pa=*** end ev filetext
mv /home/tsminst1/txteventlog/texteventlog.log ./
dsmadmc -id=*** -pa=*** begin ev filetext
