Hi TIM, Informix Database backup via TSM is using onbar. IMHO ontape is used for backup not managed by TSM. Using onbar you won't need to dump the Informix Database to file but TSM backup the database online / on the fly. And using TSM u can manage it where you like to backup: disk or tape.
