David,
My best practice is to use the VMFOLDER option and drop the VM's you want
to backup in that VM folder.
But I agree there should be better options to build your VM list..

I have the same problem with VMFOLDER as I have with VM. It is not ANDed with
the VMHOST parameter.

Hi Wanda,
No, it's not cumulative. Only the last
I am trying to set up a schedule that backs up all the VMs on a HOST whose
vmname ends in -NR. So here is what I have:
Action: Backup
Subaction: VM
Options: -vmfulltype=vstor -vmbackuptype=fullvm
-asnodename=MITC-NR -domain.vmfull=VMHOST=v-
Hi David,
I don't think there's a simple way to do what you want since domain.vmfull does
not allow to specify cumulative conditions. I've also tried to find up a
solution for one of my customer without success (except building a vmlist with
an OS script).
Maybe is it time for an RFE
Another idea would be to allow wildcards for the vmname parameter of the backup
vm command (object field in a schedule). But it's not allowed, sadly.
