It is always highly recommended to use separate nodes for B/A client (files) and TDP (application). TSM licenses are processor-based (v5.1) or system-size (v4.2 and below) and do not depend on number of nodes over the system. For TDPO (RMAN) I would highly recommend to look at TDP for Oracle

Hello I suspect you are using Windows2000?? I've had the same problem. Solution: Remove backupreg from dsm.opt Deleted adsm.sys Since the registry is included in the system objects backup adsm.sys is not needed Dont forget to have domain all-local or domain systemobjects in your optfile.
