Goran, EventCons is a file that is in use by MOM (Microsoft Operations Manager) and so far I haven't found a way to include it in any backup. I exclude it from any Windows backup, the MOM has a MS SQL database that can be included in a good working backup. best regards, Kurt

Steve, The only options available from the GUI are /SQLSERVER, /CONFIGFILE, and /TSMOPTFILE. 1. You cannot specify a node name override for the GUI. The only way is to point to a different TSM options file with the different NODENAME in it. Your idea of the single NODENAME would solve

ISC Admin Center time outs

Is there a way to change the timeouts in the web gui to Admin Center. The 5.2 web gui will allow you to stay on for hours without reauthorization. ISC keeps on asking me for my userid and password if I stay idle for 30 minutes.

I don't have enough info to say this for sure, but my first suspicion is that your filesystem has gotten spread out across a lot of tapes. So it mounts a tape, spins up to the right location, and gets blazing speed. Then it needs to mount the next tape and spin up to the location of the next

I saw the posts telling you to exclude it. It is funny that I've seen the ntuser.dat file get backed up with TSM open file support. The OS has an exclusive lock on it. I think it is odd that open file support can't back up the file you listed. Could you try using the baclient to backup

I had the unable to open timer file message before. All the hits on supports searches had to do with permissions or something wrong with the services configuration. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the TSM services, making sure that those reg entries are totally removed after your uninstall.
