If you are running MySQL on Windows: There is no TSM special agent for MySQL. The MySQL tables back up just fine as flat files, unless they are in use at the time of the backup. So you can always try shutting down MySQL before runing an ordinary TSM backup. If that isn't a good idea for your

During install, there's a step where you're supposed to specify the username/password that the tsm client runs under (dsmc, q tsa). That username needs to have rights to whatever you're trying to backup. If you need to redo that step, delete the tsm.pwd file from sys:\tivoli\tsm\client\ba, then
