Thanks for the reply. Here's all I am seeing in the actlog, however during

Actually, around here, no they won't.
They've refused me several times, saying that it is copyrighted material, and
therefore they cannot print/bind it.
Pretty annoying.

Kurt,
We are installing a TSM desktop client directly on the system that has the
PST file right on it and the only reason we are doing this is because these
SMB companies do not have an exchange server.
One product we are looking into is Tivoli's CDP software. This will allow

anyone have any suggestions as to configuration and sizing of the box

the Pseries. Anyone

You need to look in your TSM server Activity Log to see why the
session was disconnected. You may be constrained on drive resources
such that the very long running, large file backup is pre-empted by a
higher priority process. Check networking to see if, possibly,

Thomas,
What value are you using, and also what happens if a new email arrives
during the backup of the PST file?

It's now been just over a year since I created the link between the
Backup Central forums and this mailing list. When I first started it,
people asked me to keep a close eye on it and then see how things went
after a year. It's been a year, and here's what I have to report.
First, let me say
I would suggest not backing up PST files, if the environment is running
Exchange. Exchange is the proper store for email in that case, as PST files are
much more fragile than the Exchange store.
If the environment is so small that they are not using Exchange, then IMHO TSM
