Your posting doesn't include your software levels.
GENERICTAPE usually results when your software is too old to recognize
the new media technology.

You're obviously running with an old software level.

Well, this is all fine and good but how do I resolve it?
I did the query and there is a single (mtdata/mtstore.nsf) file dated
05/27/08. All others are dated within the last 60-days.
The TSM server has a single purpose...Notes/Domino backups.
There are *NO* management classes with
Did you try this?

If mtdata/mtstore.nsf no longer exists, the above command should
inactivate it.
After that, try rerunning the domdsmc inactivatelogs command again.

I will try the backup.
Here is the tail end of what I get from the query dbb for one of the

Hi Zoltan,
In this case, I recommend you place a call with IBM support.
The IBM service team can gather a trace and find out exactly
which backup is keeping the logs from inactivating.
(If that is indeed the problem.)
If you are adventurous, you can turn on tracing like this:
domdsmc
Either edit the dsm.opt file (or separate include/exclude list).
Or, edit the Client Options file associated with this client. Those are
the only two ways.

Thank you Howard for your response. I submitted a PMR to IBM to get help. I
found out two things:

Does having UAC enable affect the schedule? I have several Windows 2008

They will expire after some time. Clients
