Hi everyone,
FYI - IBM Knowledge Center mobile beta now available at
www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/mobile/. Details are posted online at
https://www.ibm.com/connections/blogs/techcontent/entry/ibm_knowledge_center_mobile_beta
We are backing up our vmware environment (approximately 110 vms), using tsm for
ve 6.4.2 tsmserver 6.2.5 under redhat 6.1.
The backup destination is disk. Trouble is all data is owned by the datacenter
node; consequently, migration has only one stream.
I do not currently have enough tape
My default destination is file not disk and I was able to get multiple streams
to VTL.

Update stg STOAGEPOOL_NAME MIGPRocess=XXX where XXX is how many threads you
want for your migration process.

Didn't I read that there were supposed to be changes in the 7.1 server to make
migration run at the filespace level? Which would make this a multi-thread
process - anybody with experience? I have a 6.3.5 customer with the same
issue, but don't have a 7.1 customer in production to verify.
Hi David,
Your primary storagepool has to be Collocate=filespace and I guess the
target too if you want multiple threads.

This seems to have no effect if only one node, i.e. the data center node in tsm
for ve.

That makes sense because I collocate all my VME backups by filespace.

-QUERYNode DP -ConfigFile
your problem is this:
Failed - Error: RC: 418
ANS1025E (RC137) Session rejected: Authentication failure

Hi
I have seen this problem with gui before and had to force an authentication.
Like tdpsqlc q tsm -tsmpassword=tdp-node-password
Then try to query for backups with the gui.
