the combination ISP for Enterprise Ressource Planning seems not to support
SAP in combination with Oracle12. Anybody an idea when official support
will be added?

So we get a new type of storage pools, the directory-container storage
pools. These enable TSM to do in flight dedup. But you cannot use any of
the following functions with directory-container storage pools:
- Migration
- Reclamation
- Aggregation
- Collocation

Replicate node is done over the connection you use within the "define
server" command. So it is using the TSM server to server connection path.
You can define a link on OS level to be dedicated used for server to server
commands (and thus also replication) while still provide client access
If you are using a TSM server on Linux I suggest reading about the tc
utility for limiting bandwith.
It changes the speed of the NIC as presented for applications so there are
no dropped/resent packages.
I have been using it with TSM replication for a while now and it works
great.

I may be wrong but from reading the 7.1.3 doco new container approach combined
with the inline dedup eliminate the need for some of these processes. Also,
where traditionally a "copy" storage pool was used they now refer to it as a
"protect" storage pool which has the ability to be replicated
I am very interested in directory-container storage pools.
But...
If Migration or Move Data are not options, then how does one transition
data from existing primary storage pools to a directory-container storage
pool?

a directory-container pool. And what's the impact on the DB if I do this?
