We've changed our DR procedures to use RAW when we go to Sungard or IBM
Sterling Forest. For a 65GB database, this cut an hour off the recovery
time! First to create the filesystem and then to DSMFMT the volumes.
This is a dedicated TSM server on a p630 with SHARK disk. I don't think
they'll
time.

I had a SQLServer box that was getting this error at times and I opened a
PMR. here's the response. The client implemented the registry setting
described in the Q304101 article and the box hasn't failed since.
APAR IC38129 describes the ANSE ntrc.cpp failure, but this problem was
fixed in the

I just saw a page on the TSM support site that had steps for a weekly backup
of the system object. Create a schedule with OPTION='-DOMAIN -SYSTEMOBJECT'
for the daily backup and another that does a full incremental on a weekend.
Haven't tried it, but thought it was interesting to remember.

Did you hook in the TDP agent which is the media managment library?
For Windows it's just a restart of the Oracle instance. For different
Unix's, it's creating a link to the library and then restarting the Oracle
instance. See the TDP Installation and User's Guide.

incremental backup is run, the user's profile is backed up to the ADSM.SYS
directory and then sent up to the TSM server. The manuals detail on how to
restore a logged on users profile, and Wanda Prather has posted the
procedures several times to this list.
