At one time the status of the tape was filling, it became full and the
status changed to full.
The backup files expired gradually and now the Estimated Pct has

I have a daily procedure which is supposed to restore all Lotus and Domino
non-database files
from production Server backup to our Emergency Server :-

Hello All,
On one client backups I get the following msg:-
ANS1802E Incremental backup of '\\fs2\f$' finished with 50 failure.
Preceding this msg. I get a ANS1228E a ANS4037E for each File
skipped.
I checked these File skipped and they are all subdirectories rather than
application
DSMC Q ARCH F:\* (Archives for F drive (Windows environment))

Hello all,
A client GUI restore session was idle for about an hour, however a tape
associated with the restore
was still mounted, and only was dismounted until the GUI restore session
was closed by the user.
Which option do I modify so that tape is dismounted sooner can be used
by another

Yes I have encountered it before. Look in the client dsm.opt file
for an an option resourceutil. On one of my clients it was set to 5.
Multiple sessions can speed up operations especially restores.
You can comment out the option if you want to.

Do they fail in a particular time period ? Could there be a bottleneck of
some sort ?
Try spreading out the backups i.e don't have too many running at one
time.

Occasionally when trying to fireup Web Interface(http://tsm1:1580) ,
via Remote Desktop Connection, on the TSM Server the TSM Service
crashes !
(I very seldom use the Web Interface directly on the TSM server itself,
