I have to setup TSM Server for an MsSql Client with TDP for SQL and I have a
couple of problems. Can anybody help me?
1. The Redbook recommends to save Meta data to a Disk Pool. I did not find any
hint about the size of this Diskpool. Can anybody tell me what size I should
setup? Is it any
you changed the password on the server but the client still only knows the
password in his encrypted local file.
You have to login 1 time on the client and type in the new password - the one
you typed using update node.

I wonder how the blocksize of the mt devices could affect the performance of
the backups. lsattr -El mt0 currently shows a value of 1024.
Did anybody play with this? I did not find anything about it on the web. Any
idea about the maximum settable value?

We have TSM Server on Aix and TSM Clients on Aix, and we save DB2
We have TSM Server on Aix and TSM Clients on Aix, and we save DB2 to DLT Tapes.
Aix is Version 4.3.3 ML09.
Since upgrading the Clients from 4.1 to 4.2 we notice much higher times for a
DB save: with Version 4.1 it a DB save took about 5 hours, with Version 4.2 it
takes now about 8.5 hours.
