Hi Del,
there have been some fixes for 8.1.10, so your company provided the eFix
8.1.10-114. As some of them also affects 8.1.11-000: when will you
releasa a regular fix for 8.1.11?
e.g. the bug which prohibited the restore of the dsmkey is fixed with
8.1.19-200, but still exits in 8.1.11-0
I am replacing and old 3485 tape library with LTO5 tapes with a TS4300 with
LTO8 tapes. I currently have a local copycontainer pool on LTO5 tape and need
to move/recreate on LTO8 tape.
I see that I can add a second protectlocalstgpools and I am gathering then that

Hi Eric,
The answer is always "it depends".
Since 8.1.10.200 comes out after 8.1.11 ... it is possible that there are
things in 8.1.10.200 that are planned for an 8.1.11.100.

them in an n-1 level, and sometimes even

do not exist in 8.1.11.0?

Hi Eric,
In some cases, customers prefer to stay at the N-1 level of code and IBM
will release fixes on top of the N-1 level to help them with an issue.

Hi everybody,
Am I the only one who's getting confused about the patch versions released by
IBM recently? I noticed a 8.1.10.200 SP server and OC release last Friday, but
8.1.11.0 is already out for weeks...
Kind regards,
