I'm curious. DO other backup programs (NetBackup, Legato, etc) have 3rd

At least our complains here could be a good feedback to IBM that their
product has not been successful in this version. I would be happy to use it
again if the subtle so-called bugs are addressed.

Hi All,
I have been working off and on for about four months with IBM
Tech support
Admin Center is slow, the interface is clunky and annoying, the look and
feel is anything but modern and it is riddled with bugs and dependencies to
browser versions etc. Last time I tried it was 6.2 on a brand new two
socket HP DL380 with 48GB of RAM. Slow.

Similar experience with Admin Center 6.3, but this time in manage servers
section nothing is listed under the select action menu. I played with the
GUI and clicked on other links in the portal with no hope then the
drop-down menu appeared! Although I have added TSM servers, when I come

Good equivalent of standard dsmadmc console are TSMExplorer Console or

I am hoping there is one person in the world that can tell me why I can't
get Admin Center 6.3 to function on a Windows 2008 R2 System. I
Do yourself a favor and don't use the admin center.
Try a third party tool like StorServer Console, TSM Manager or just use the
command line.
Just came back from a TSM user group and saw ServerGraph which looks
promising.

Is this based on recent experience, or is this just a knee-jerk reaction based
on old experiences and old wives' tales?
I'm not a fan of IBM's recent attempts to making TSM easy to use
Hi,
first of all, I really like the new TSM Administration Center. It's much
more concise than the old webadmin interface, IMHO, of course ;-)
I'm using the latest version 5.3.2.0 and ISC 6.0.1 (TSM 5.3.2.3).
Two problems occur that I don't find in the APAR list:
