Any thoughts on using power7 AIX to house multiple item instances? I've
been asked to look into this as we consolidate stand alone servers to
zseries.

As long as you have physical HBAs for tape and don't mix tape and disk on the
same HBA (yes, that's a usually quite hard on a blade), I don't see why not.

How long does your whole backup cycle take ? From the time the first backup
starts to when the database backup ends ( or when the DRM module is executed ) ?
