Hi All,

my current customer has greatly invested in automation of the IT processes,
including deployment of servers, including TSM. So mow they are able to install
the OS, prereq’s for TSM and the TSM server without any manual intervention
(well, they could have if IBM were seLinux aware).

We’re now working on the same for TSM4VE and noticed that during installation
the installer actually performs some configuration, namely registering the
TSM4VE extension and/or plug-in with vCenter. This of course breaks the concept
of a generic installation and a later configuration. I therefore submitted RFE
90187 to take the configuration steps out of the installation phase.

So, if you feel that this separation of duties is a good thing, please vote for
this RFE at
