Re: Netware 6 and TSM

2002-03-07 Thread Bill Boyer

The 'word' we got from Tivoli was that Netware 6 support would be availabe
in TSM 5.1 due out in April. Other client levels may work, but I would
expect the but it isn't supported line from Tivoli. I also found a similar
response in the ADSM-L archives.

We have some Netware 4.11 clients and it looks like they are going to
Netware 6.
The 4.11 clients are running ok with TSM 3..7.20, but this is no longer
supported
Is anyone running TSM with netware 6 clients?
What TSM version are you using.
Any problems/recommendations.
Thanks.
John

I have tested NW6 with the latest 4.x.x client and it worked fine. I suppose
that Bill is correct in saying that Tivoli will give you the but it isn't
supported line but it does work.

Seth,

Have you checked in to how it handles Netware clustering?

Along with the 'failover' shortcoming, the gui restore interface with the cluster
presents some interesting challenges!
