Re: CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT shows mystery campaign!?

2016-03-21 Thread Chirag
Hello Hunter,

Thanks for reply.

Yes, I saw that at some of the post at forum.

But it is only supported by CAMPAIGN Report and not by all reports.

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/all-reports#advertisingchannelsubtype

Thanks,

Re: Ad Rotation within an AdGroup with both Non Mobile and Mobile targeting

2016-03-21 Thread 'Anash P. Oommen (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Giles,

As far as I know, the mobile device preference (30001) means that we will
do a best effort to serve this ad on mobile, but it's not 100% guaranteed.
The other two ads will serve on desktop and mobile. If you want them to
serve only on desktop, you'd want to set a very low bid modifier on mobile
for these ads.

Other than that, the ads should work as you expect. Though, this is a
product-specific question, so I recommend posting on
https://www.en.advertisercommunity.com/# and ask a Google Community manager
to confirm.

Cheers,
Anash P. Oommen,
AdWords API Advisor.

Re: CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT shows mystery campaign!?

2016-03-21 Thread Hunter
It looks like advertisingchannelsubtype

 can
be filtered on. You can create a Predicate that pulls all Campaigns that
are NOT_IN SEARCH_EXPRESS or DISPLAY_EXPRESS and pass that to the
ReportDefinitionService.

Re: Do not trigger ads unless certain keywords are in the user search query.

2016-03-21 Thread 'Anthony Madrigal' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Bob,

When creating a keyword, you should consider making its match type a Phrase
. That way, your ad will
only appear if the phrase was included in the search term.

Please have a look at this link
 on Keyword Match Types.

Ad Rotation within an AdGroup with both Non Mobile and Mobile targeting

2016-03-21 Thread 'Giles Bodger' via AdWords API Forum
Hi all,

If i have 2 Ads in an AdGroup and i am targeting NON mobile (ie no device
preference set on the ads) and i have my campaign settings set to "
ROTATE_INDEFINITELY" i can expect those ads to rotate more or less evenly -
this is what we have currently

If i now Add another Ad to that AdGroup, BUT set it's device preference to
CriterionId 30001 (targeting mobile devices) - what will the effect be on
the other 2 ads showing specifically on NON mobile.

Will the 2 original ads continue to rotate evenly on Non Mobile ?
Will the fact that the Mobile targeted ad is present have a bearing on that
rotation ?

I am presuming that having an ad that directly target's mobile, would never
be a candidate to select in those available for Non Mobile targeting within
an ad group where the campaign is set to ROTATE_INDEFINITELY

cheers in advance

Giles

Re: DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED

2016-03-21 Thread 'Umesh Dengale' via AdWords API Forum
Hello,

The developer token with test access is allowed to make API call to test
AdWords accounts. The AdWords services will return DEVELOPER_
TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED

 error
when you try to access production AdWords API with developer token with
test access.

To access production AdWords API, you could apply for a *basic access *(has
10,000
operations / day limit). Please check out the basic concepts guide
for

more details about the different access levels. You could apply for basic
access by login to manager account(MCC) and go to the *gear wheel on* *top
Right ->Account Settings->AdWords API Center*. The compliance team will
review and approves the basic access application. The client could contact
 the compliance team for
updates of the application.

Thanks,
Umesh, AdWords API Team.

Updating CustomParameters on existing adgroup - AdGroup syncs back as "NEW"

2016-03-21 Thread 'Giles Bodger' via AdWords API Forum
Hi all

We recently sent updates via the API for several of our adgroups adding new
UrlCustomParameter values - When we synced the relevant accounts back
afterwards though, we were seeing the adGroupChangeStatus for the
particular adgroups as "NEW". These adgroups have been around for a long
time, so they definitely were not "NEW". We were also given the same
adgroupIds by the API as we already have for those adgroups.

Can i ask whether this is expected behavior ? - Seems a bit odd, and it has
played havoc with our sync logic

cheers in advance

Giles

Do not trigger ads unless certain keywords are in the user search query.

2016-03-21 Thread Robert Pinzhoffer

Hello,

I was wondering if was possible to create a custom AdWords API that did the
following: do not display/trigger ads unless certain keywords are in the
user search query. This I would call “positive negative keywords”, i.e. if
the term “help” did not appear in the query, then do not trigger my ads.
Hope I’m not “out in left field here”.

Thank you,

Bob

Re: Error during product partition creation

Hi Peter,

Are you still experiencing this issue, and if so, how frequently?

As suspected, this was due to retries within our services, but
unfortunately I don't have a great solution on how to detect this
particular scenario, so I'm curious to know if this is still having a large
impact for you.

Thanks,

 Hi Josh

These are really wild assumptions, but for me it looks like that I
can see the same problem with other requests regarding shopping ad
 group
 criterions too.

I've got another case that looks pretty similar to me (though I
cannot prove this since I do not have SOAP logs for this). But from
 our
logs I can see that we've sent a deletion request for shopping ad
 group
 criterions (e.g.: item id = 333518-105, criterion id = 139771732115,
 ad
group id = 23172885875, campaign id = 321117275). The product
 partition was
successfully deleted - I can see this in the change logs in the
 Adwords UI (30.10.2015
06:06:07). But my application logs tell me that the API returned
 an error
Errors while removing group item bids: Group 23172885875: Item
 333518-105:
 [EntityNotFound,CriterionId{id=139771732115},EntityNotFound.INVALID_ID;];

For me it looks like that someone duplicates the same request. I've
double checked our logs and they tell me that it's not our application
 (as
stated above I unfortunately cannot see the SOAP request directly).
When looking at the SOAP logs that I've provided earlier I assume
the same could have happened here.

I get a report with 56 rows. One of them reads:
 >>> campaignID="175445942" campaignState="active" impressions="3129"
 clicks="48" cost="3945" />

This information is nowhere found in the web interface!
 What is going on here?
Note: the same campaign also shows up in ad group performance reports.

 Thanks in advance!

Reaching Time Lag and other Attribution reports

2016-03-21 Thread dima
Hi,

Can I reach Attribution reports (Time Lag, Path Length etc) via API (Java)?
If not, are there any plans to support it?

Thanks
