Authenticate Google Adwords Email with Service Account API Email

2018-02-18 Thread ritesh123khapre
Hi

I am using service account API for Google Analytics and Google Adwords.
Here Google Analytics is working perfectly as i using email (
*xyz..iam.gserviceaccount.com) *as authorized user in Google Analytics
admin settings.

For Google adwords i have different account *x...@gmail.com *which is
associated with Google Adwords API.

With my service account PHP client code i am using this

$client->setSubject(*xyz..iam.gserviceaccount.com*);

In the Google API console i have added *x...@gmail.com * as the Service
account user.

How i will make Google Adwords working with service account with above
scenario?
Do i have to add *xyz..iam.gserviceaccount.com as authorized user in
Google Adwords also. ( i don't have access to add so i have not tested)*

*since i have already added **x...@gmail.com as *authorized service account
user in Google API console then it should work, but it is not.

Please help.

Regards
Ritesh

Re: is there a way to bid adjust on time or date?

2018-02-18 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Ken,

Are you referring to adjusting/setting bids based on a certain schedule?
For example, if the day is Saturday, and the time is 5 pm to 7 pm, then you
need to adjust/increase the bids. Is my assumption to your use-case
correct? If so, then scheduling is not yet supported in the AdWords API. This
said, you will need to manually implement a scheduling feature to update
your bids. Another recommendation would be to search other forums if there
is a possible cron job that you can integrate with the current supported
client libraries of the AdWords API.

As an alternative, you can also use AdWords Scripts
 as
scheduling is supported in scripts. If you have clarifications regarding
AdWords Scripts, you can post in this forum
.

Thanks,
Vincent

Re: Empty name for AdWords account

2018-02-18 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Jean,

In regards to your concern on which the API returned null for the name of
your specific account, it seems that there is something weird happening on
this account. If you'll check the new AdWords UI, this account doesn't have
any account name. Normally, in the left side of the AdWords UI on where you
can see your clientCustomerId, the top of your clientCustomerId should be
your account name. However, in this account, I could not see the account
name. You can verify this on your end by logging on this account and
compare this with your other accounts. This is unusual since you cannot
create an AdWords account without the account name

. Also, can you confirm if you used the AdWords UI or AdWords API in the
creation of this account before? So I can also better check that this is
indeed the issue, can you provide your SOAP request and response logs via
*Reply
privately to author* option?

Furthermore, since this concern is more on the product level as both UI and
API have null values for the account name, and not AdWords API specific,
can you also post this concern in the AdWords Community Forum

for
further assistance on why this specific account does not have an account
name on it?

Thanks,
Vincent

The error can happen sometimes when there are transient issues on the

Re: discrepancy between Adwords UI reports and Adwords API report

2018-02-18 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Chirag,

All metrics (e.g. AverageCpc

, AverageCpm
)

in reports with Money

 type
are represented in the API as micros. For example, in the UI, if its value
is $8, then its API equivalent value is 800. You just need to divide
the API value by 100 so that its value will be equal to the UI value.
However, for the impressions
,

its API value will be exactly the same as the UI as this is not of type
Money.

If you can confirm that there is indeed a discrepancy in the impressions
metric in your report, then kindly provide your clientCustomerId as well as
your report definition

via *Reply privately to author* option.

Thanks,

Re: Keyword Search Query googleAnalyticsR or RAdwords

2018-02-18 Thread Mark Edmondson
AdWords search queries are available in the Google Analytics API under
ga:keyword
https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/reporting/core/dimsmets#view=detail=traffic_sources=ga_keyword

You also may want to use the adMatchedQuery
https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/reporting/core/dimsmets#view=detail=adwords=ga_admatchedquery

For only AdWords keywords, you will want to limit the keywords (so they
don't include SEO and other paid search like Bing, by filtering for
source==google and medium==cpc

The query in googleAnalyticsR will look something like:

google_analytics(viewId, date_range = c("2017-01-01", "today"), dimensions =
c("keyword"), metrics = "adClicks", dim_filters = filter_clause_ga4(list(
dim_filter("source","EXACT","google"), dim_filter("medium","EXACT","cpc")),
operator = "AND"))

Generating Keyword Ideas : What is considered relevant?

2018-02-18 Thread Felix Rodriguez

Hello,

I'm posting based on the service, TargetingIdeaService. Every time I enter
a seed keyword, my output returns a list of new ideas ordered by relevance.
This is great! But I also wanted to know exactly how is "relevance" being
calculated? My understanding so far is that relevance is determined by
Google's own secret formula. If so, I can understand that. I am more so
interested in what separates the first new idea from the second new idea
and so on.

To illustrate, let's say I input "keyboard" as my seed with zero filter
parameters and one input parameter of RelatedToQuerySearchParameter. That
will return a list of ideas ordered by relevance : "piano keyboard",
"wireless keyboard", and so on.
Why is "piano keyboard" first returned, then "wireless keyboard"?

Any answers will be appreciated. By the way, this is my first time posting
so excuse me if my question doesn't fall under the Forum's focus.

Upon further checking, you have duplicated the keyword "Icon Womens Pursuit

set another value of keyword for one specific ad group.

Let me know if this solves your issue after doing the suggestion.

Empty name for AdWords account

2018-02-18 Thread Jean-Fabrice Rabaute
Hi,

I'm using ManagedCustomerService to query account information.
It works well for most of the accounts, except for this one where the
"name" field returned is null: 3874046656

The api does not return any error and returns the response with all the
data, except for this "name" field for this particular account.

Any idea what could be wrong with this adwords account?

Thank you.
