RE: Asset level custom conversions from ad_group_asset resource

2022-01-24 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Vijay,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team.

The ad_group_asset report should return statistics for those assets created
using the AdGroupAssetService.

As for the ad_group_ad_asset_view, it is currently not possible to associate
its records to a conversion action or include the
segments.conversion_action_name, segments.conversion_action fields in the
report.

You can instead generate a separate report using the ad_group_ad report and
associate the ad linked to the asset, to a conversion action.

However, a feature request for an asset report with direct conversion related
metrics have been previously raised. For now, you may keep an eye on our blog
for updates and announcements.

2022-01-24 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello Amol,

Thank you for posting your concern. Allow me to support you here.

Before proceeding to your concern, I would like to inform you that your post
will be deleted containing logs for security purposes.

With regards to your concern, I'm afraid that a campaign type cannot be
modified after it was initially created.

As for the issue in the provided API logs, it appears that the
target_google_search as 'true' is not possible for the Display campaign. With
this, I would suggest setting 'false' value to that and retry the API request
again.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Hi there,

Thank you for our reply.

Kindly note that the OfflineUserDataJob operations are asynchronous in nature.
This is why not executed in a sequential manner, behavior observed is working
as expected. Also, we do not suggest to use remove operations and create
operations in a single job to avoid error.

How can I get the status of an adAccount?

2022-01-24 Thread Frank S
Hi all,
Here I have the code to access the Customer

try (CustomerServiceClient customerServiceClient =
googleAdsClient.getLatestVersion()
.createCustomerServiceClient()) {
String customerResourceName = ResourceNames.customer(adsAccountId);
Customer customer = customerServiceClient.getCustomer(customerResourceName);
LoggerUtil.info(log,
"adsAccountId:" + " ,its ConversionTrackingId is:" +
customer.getConversionTrackingSetting()
.getConversionTrackingId());
return customer;
}

But I want to know whether the adAccount is enabled or disabled to judge
the status of the adAccount, so that I can know whether the adAccount can
normally create Ads or not.

I searched the developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/samples but I
cannot get relative codes to solve my problem.

Could anybody know how to deal with it? Thanks a lot !

Can you try this guide (Retrieve mutable attributes from the response)? The
response will contain the values of all mutable fields for every object created

can utilize the campaign_criterion report as previously mentioned by my

Re: Need to replicate the behavior of AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

2022-01-24 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Matías,

Thank you for sharing your logs and your previous conversation with our
colleague Nadine.

However, there is currently no direct way for you to be able to associate other
criteria to the ad_group_ad report. What Nadine shared (After some chats we
Nadine from support we ended up with the option of making as many request as
criterion types we need and then merge them) should be the current workaround
for this.

That said, I can create a feature request, subject for review, for the
ad_group_ad report to support segmenting other criteria types. You may provide
as well your complete use case for this feature so that I may include this in
the said feature request.

Best regards,

Hi,

Thank you for your follow up question. I am also a member of the Google Ads API

For your follow up question, I would suggest raising it to the Compliance team
via this form to know what is the scope of the organization if it should be

more equipped to answer your question because they are the one that approve and

RE: Adgroup creation fails (ResourceCountLimitExceededError.CAMPAIGN_LIMIT)

2022-01-24 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Christian,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team.

So I can investigate the behavior you observed and possibly raise this to the
rest of our API support team, could you provide the complete request and
response logs, with the request-id, generated by each of your processes (get
and / or mutate requests) that then lead to the
ResourceCountLimitExceededError.CAMPAIGN_LIMIT error being encountered?

If the logs are not available, and if you haven't yet, logging can be enabled
by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) >
Logging documentation, which you can access from this link. You may then try
replicate the scenario and provide to our team the complete logs of your API
requests.

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author
option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to
our googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias instead.

Hi Oksana,

Thank you for providing more details to your concern.

Upon checking the account where you want to retrieve the report, I can see that
it's setup is not complete yet. With this, I would suggest to complete setting
up of that account and retry the API report again.

As for your concern about retrieving the error in try-catch, since this concern

RE: Getting Campaign Type & Campaign Objective via API

2022-01-24 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Xuan Lu,

Thank you for raising your concern to my team. Allow me to support you here.

If you are looking to use and to know the type of the campaign, then I would
suggest using this field which you have already mentioned.
Which key should be the Campaign Type? I see the advertisingChannelType maybe
matches the values for campaign type - could you help to confirm?

May I know if what you mean for your term objective is the campaign goals? If
yes, then I would suggest referring to this document as it discusses the report
that you can use to get this information.
I can't find any possible key for the Campaign objective on API Document. Is it
supported on API?

Let me know if you have any questions with the provided document.

prelaunch extensions data w campaign id

2022-01-24 Thread 'INI GlobalOps' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
We are getting extensions data for campaigns which have NOT run yet - they
have 0 impressions and have not been trafficked

We need to get the campaign.id associated with extension.id

Here's the query
   SELECT
campaign.id,
extension_feed_item.id,
extension_feed_item.sitelink_feed_item.final_urls,
extension_feed_item.extension_type,
extension_feed_item.call_feed_item.phone_number,
extension_feed_item.callout_feed_item.callout_text,
extension_feed_item.sitelink_feed_item.line1,
extension_feed_item.sitelink_feed_item.line2,
extension_feed_item.sitelink_feed_item.link_text,
extension_feed_item.structured_snippet_feed_item.values,
extension_feed_item.targeted_geo_target_constant,
extension_feed_item.targeted_keyword.text,
extension_feed_item.targeted_keyword.match_type,
extension_feed_item.status
FROM extension_feed_item However because of the campaign
segment we cannot get prelaunch data - in order to get prelaunch data we
have to remove campaign.id from the query Our question is how do we get
extension.id and campaign.id together for PRELAUNCH campaigns (campaigns
with 0 metrics)? Appreciate any guidance here. Thank you!

RE: responsive display ad - Automatic bid strategy(Maximise conversions), campaign type

2022-01-24 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Amol,

Thank you for posting your concern. Allow me to provide support here.

For the #1, please note that the EnhancedCpc is a portfolio bidding strategy
only. With this, you need to follow this guide instead if you want to set this
to your campaign.

For the issue encountered in setting Maximize Conversion bidding strategy,
would you be able to provide the exact error that you encountered? It will be
helpful if you can provide also the complete request and response logs with
request ID and request header generated on your end.

With regard to the #2, please note that it is not possible to change the
campaign type when it is created. For this part "But whenver ad can be
generated from php api it showing responsive display ad.", could you provide
more context on this issue so that I can check and address it?

You can provide the requested details via Reply privately to author option. If
this option is not available, then send it instead on this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

Re: Get account information

2022-01-24 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Hao,

In my earlier response, I recommended that customer_label (Represents a
relationship between a customer and a label.) report so that this may return
the applied label to the customer_id specified in your API request.

The customer_client.applied_labels (The resource names of the labels owned by
the requesting customer that are applied to the client customer.) that you then
responded to me, refers to the labels owned by the requesting customer but not
necessarily the label applied to that customer.

RE: Migrate extensions from feed-based to asset-based

2022-01-24 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Roman,

Thank you for your questions. You may refer below for my responses :

Is this possible to remove feeds without interacting with
CampaignExtensionSetting service? Or this is a necessary step?

You will need to perform both remove requests in order to completely remove
these entities from your account.

So when the auto-migration date comes for Call and App extensions will this
cause troubles? Will be redundant assets created for those feeds with Removed
status or not?

As this appears to be more of a Product related concern, you may confirm what
the behavior would be for this scenario with the Product support team. You may
reach out to their team via this help center link.

RE: User doesn't have permission to access customer Error in Google Ads API

2022-01-24 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello Mark,

Thank you for reaching out.

As mentioned that you've encountered the error "USER_PERMISSION_DENIED", it
usually has following root causes:

The link between the manager and client account was removed.
The OAuth credentials are for a user who does not have direct access to the
Customer ID specified in the login-customer-id.

With that, I would recommend that you generate the refresh token and the OAuth2
credential using an email address which currently has access to your Google Ads

Hi,

Thank you for your question.

The 15,000 operations/day is indeed one of the daily operational limits set for
basic access. However, in this Other types of requests section, you can see
that the OfflineUserDataJobService.AddOfflineUserDataJobOperations only counts
as one operation against the user's daily operation quota.

Thanks so much for the reply.
Can I ask if you are able to review one of the calls we made? The request

And to clarify, the maximum number of records in an operation is still 100?
This structure should work (with the number of UserData objects <=100:

Hi Alexei,

Thank you for reaching out.

So that I may take a closer look at what exactly is causing the error, could
you also share the complete request and response logs, with the request-id,
generated when the error occurred?

If you haven't yet, logging can be enabled by navigating to the Client
libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation, which you
can access from this link. If you are using PHP, you can refer directly to this
logging guide.

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author

RE: unexpected error TOO_MANY_USER_IDENTIFIERS when add_offline_user_data_job_operations

2022-01-24 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Dave,

Thank you for posting your concern. Allow me to provide support to your concern.

1. Has the spec of this api changed recently?
2. Concretely, what is "request", "operation" in the error message?
For these 2 questions, it appears that the behavior that you encountered is
related to this blog post that the maximum number of user_identifers set in a
UserData object will be reduced from 100,000 to 20. This is to clarify that
each set should represent a single user.

3. How handle the process when 20M userId list?
As for this question, you will need to create multiple operations for each
unique or single user to upload it in a user list.

Also, allow me to raise a feature request to my team so that the update
mentioned in the blog post will be reflected in our document, subject for
review. For now, please follow our blog to get updated with news and releases
about Google Ads API.

FinaUrls Readonly for some reason

2022-01-24 Thread Joshua Newman
Hello,

I'm integrating the latest version of the new Google Ads Api, but when I
attempt to code the CreateAdGroupAd request in VB I noticed the property
*FinalUrls* is *Readonly*. However, in C# the property is not. I've
attached a screenshot of the Metadata from a C# project & VB project.

Any assistance regarding this issue is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello Moran,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API support. With regards to your
query, the ListAccessibleCustomers method, this should return the
ListAccessibleCustomersResponse (usually in the form of`customers/ customer_id.
You can use it to create a separate request filtering with the resource names
and utilize the manager field of the customer view.This should help you
determine if a customer is a manager or not.
Additionally, please refer to this link for more account access level

Set excluded YT placements with google Ads API

2022-01-24 Thread 'EladB' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi

I want to set excluded YT placement in Google Ads automatically.

1) I saw this [API][1]. Which one should I use? setting a `placement` or a
`YT video`? Or elsewhere?

2) How can I make sure this cannot be done via ads script?
Should it have be under [AdGroupBidding][2]? So if not there - ads script
doesn't support that?

Thanks!

Labels - Adwords API KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT equivalent

2022-01-24 Thread Patrick
Hi,

With Adwords API we were able to use the KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT to
retrieve the Label names along with other required fields and metrics in
one convenient query.

With Google Ads API it looks like keyword_view only returns the label
resourceNames.

Does this mean if I would like to get the label names I effectively need to
do a query for keyword_view (get the metrics and fields I need) and then
another query (to the Label resource probably?) to get the Label names and
merge the two reports based on the label resourceName?

Or is there a more efficient way to do it?

Just feels like it's a step backwards from what we could do with the
KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT so was wondering if the above is correct if
there are any plans to add more label detail to the metric reports?

Thanks!

geographic view segmentation

2022-01-24 Thread 'INI GlobalOps' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
we are getting data from geographic view endpoint like so

SELECT
campaign.id,
geographic_view.resource_name,
FROM geographic_view

BUT we need data from PRELAUNCH campaigns

Google api docs say we cannot get prelaunch data in combination with
segments (campaign segment)

```
Segmenting resources
ad_group
campaign
Fields from the above resources, when selected along with this resource in
your SELECT and WHERE clauses, *will segment* metrics.
```

Which changes our query to:

SELECT
geographic_view.resource_name,
FROM geographic_view

We need to associate geotarget data with campaign

*our question is:*
How to we get geographic data with campaign.id for PRELAUNCH campaigns?

Thank you

How to speed up OfflineUserDataJobOperation for over 1M+ customer match?

2022-01-24 Thread Lin Chen
Hi Google Ads Team,

Thanks for posting this tutorial

and I tried to follow every step to add users to customer match user List.
My problem came with the huge volume of customers. I have around 1M+ users
want to upload to that user List and here's my code to build the operation
list.

10k users adding to the operation list takes around 7mins and it seems too
slow. Any code improvement and opinion will be appreciated!

def _build_offline_user_data_job_operations(df):
size = df.shape[0]
operations_list = []
for i in range(0, size-1, 5):
operations = []
df_copy = df.iloc[i:min(size, i+5)]
for row in df_copy.itertuples():

operations.append(_build_single_offline_user_data_job_operation(row[1],
row[2], row[3], row[4], row[5], row[6]))
operations_list.append(operations)
return operations_list

def _build_single_offline_user_data_job_operation( email, first_name,
last_name, postal_code, country_code,  phone_number):

user_data_operation = client.get_type("OfflineUserDataJobOperation")
user_data = user_data_operation.create
user_identifier = client.get_type('UserIdentifier')
user_identifier.hashed_email = _normalize_and_hash(email)
user_identifier.hashed_phone_number = _normalize_and_hash(phone_number)
address_info = client.get_type('OfflineUserAddressInfo')
address_info.hashed_first_name = _normalize_and_hash(first_name)
address_info.hashed_last_name = _normalize_and_hash(last_name)
address_info.country_code = country_code
address_info.postal_code = postal_code

user_identifier.address_info = address_info
user_data.user_identifiers.append(user_identifier)
return user_data

Re: RunOfflineUserDataJobAsync does sequential Processing of Submitted Jobs?

2022-01-24 Thread Paid Media
Hi

Thank you for your response.
Regarding your response to the first question. The statement in the
referenced article is in the context where remove_all is set to true. That
means you want to remove all customers from the audience. But my question
is specific to a scenario, where we are removing only a couple of customers
from the audience.
Consider below the sequence of events:
1. Make an API call at 7:00 AM to remove 10 customers from the audience
list which is having 10K customers in it.
2. Make another API call at 7:05 AM to add those 10 customers back to the
same audience list

Can u please confirm whether these jobs will be executed in a sequential
manner one after another or there is no guarantee of the execution order? I
have attached a file where its visible from Google Ads UI that jobs are not
executed in a sequential manner.

Regarding the 2nd question. As per the referenced article, it seems that I
can hit with CONCURRENT_MODIFICATION exception.

Re: User doesn't have permission to access customer Error in Google Ads API

2022-01-24 Thread Mark Guza
Btw: i did all steps in 'Getting Started', install all extensions. And i
found that when i connect developer token to GoogleAdsClientBuilder with:
`->withDeveloperToken()`, and when i put some words, for example,
->withDeveloperToken('test') instead of my original developer token - i
have the same issue, maybe it's the problem? Developer token is correctly
100%, because it use now for dowloading reports via Adwords API.

Asset level custom conversions from ad_group_asset resource

2022-01-24 Thread Vijay Kumar
Hi,

As per the ads API v9:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v9/ad_group_asset, it
supports fetching assets custom conversions. That's not working as
expected. We are unable to pull the asset level conversions data segmented
on `conversion_action`. This is a sample query that we tried:
```ruby
 SELECT segments.conversion_action_name,
segments.conversion_action,
metrics.all_conversions,
metrics.conversions,
asset.id,
ad_group.id
FROM ad_group_asset
  WHERE segments.date
 BETWEEN '2022-01-01'
   AND '2022-01-12' AND metrics.conversions > 0
```

And since, we are able to pull the *non-segmented* data from the
ad_group_ad_asset_view

resource,
so there's no question of "no data". Sample query for the same:
```ruby
 SELECT metrics.all_conversions,
metrics.conversions,
asset.id,
ad_group.id
FROM ad_group_ad_asset_view
  WHERE segments.date
 BETWEEN '2022-01-01'
   AND '2022-01-12' AND metrics.conversions > 0
```
Let me know if you guys need any more information.

Best Regards.

Adgroup creation fails (ResourceCountLimitExceededError.CAMPAIGN_LIMIT)

2022-01-24 Thread Christian H.
 Hello,

I have a daily job that deletes outdated keywords and adgroups and then
about one hour later creates new adgroups and keywords in campaigns where
sufficient space is expected. The keyword creation job requests the
not-deleted-adgroups per campaign and tries to create as many adgoups per
campaign as possible (e.g. if campaign has 19900 not-deleted-adgroups the
uploader tries to create 100 adgroups in this campaign).

When using the old API version v201809 everything works as expected. After
switching to the new google ads API v9 the creation job fails with the
error ResourceCountLimitExceededError.CAMPAIGN_LIMIT : "Indicates that this
request would exceed the number of allowed resources in a Campaign. The
exact resource type and limit being checked can be inferred from
accountLimitType, and the numeric id of the Campaign involved is given by
enclosingId", Limit: 2

On next days run the problem doesn't occur for the campaign that caused the
errors the day before. So my guess is that - when using the new API - after
removing adgroups it takes some time until the available adgroup amount for
that campaign is changed.

I would consider this as a bug, because the creation job has no way to
predict the behavior: when requesting the not-deleted-adgroups with GAQL
the campaign seems to have enough space, but the upload fails.

Can you confirm this behavior and fix it? When GAQL tells me, there is
enough space in campaign, the upload shouldn't fail with a
LimitExceededError.

Thanks,

Christian

about one hour later creates new adgroups and keywords in campaigns where
sufficient space is expected. The keyword creation job requests the
not-deleted-adgroups per campaign and tries to create as many adgoups per
campaign as possible (e.g. if campaign has 19900 not-deleted-adgroups the
uploader tries to create 10 adgroups in this campaign).

When using the old API version v201809 everything works as expected. After
switching to the new google ads API v9 the creation job fails with the
error
ResourceCountLimitExceededErrorEnum.ResourceCountLimitExceededError.CAMPAIGN_LIMIT

: "Indicates that this request would exceed the number of allowed resources
in a Campaign. The exact resource type and limit being checked can be
inferred from accountLimitType, and the numeric id of the Campaign involved
is given by enclosingId", Limit: 2

On next days run the problem doesn't occur for the campaign that caused the
errors the day before. So my guess is that - when using the new API - after
removing adgroups it takes some time until the available adgroup amount for
that campaign is changed.

I would consider this as a bug, because the creation job has no way to
predict the behavior: when requesting the not-deleted-adgroups with GAQL
the campaign seems to have enough space, but the upload fails.

Can you confirm this behavior and fix it? When GAQL tells me, there is
enough space in campaign, the upload should fail with a LimitExceededError.

Thanks,

Christian

RE: Help trying to update an account using BatchJobServiceClient

2022-01-24 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Julian,

I'm Kevin from the Google Ads API Team.

Regarding a sample code on how to update a customer via BatchJobService, I
suggest you reach out to the Java client library authors by posting your
concern in this link for further assistance since they are better equipped to
assist you with this. I also suggest minimizing your modifications in our
sample code in order to better troubleshoot the issue (e.g. you may focus on
creating the objects as well as the mutate operations and then, try to
implement the rest of our sample code without modification). For additional
reference, you may also check out this documentation on the Usage Flow of Batch
Processing.

responsive display ad - Automatic bid strategy(Maximise conversions), campaign type

2022-01-24 Thread Amol Kawale
Hi Team,

I'm creating* google responsive display ad v8 php*. Bidding strategy can be
set 2 ways either manual CPC & Maximize conversions(Auto bid strategy).

$campaign = new Campaign([
'name' => $_POST['campaignName'],
'advertising_channel_type' => AdvertisingChannelType::
*SEARCH*,
'status' => CampaignStatus::ENABLED,
// Sets the bidding strategy and budget.
  *'manual_cpc' => new ManualCpc(),*
'campaign_budget' => $budgetResourceName,
'network_settings' => $networkSettings,
'start_date' => $_POST['startDate'],
'end_date' => $_POST['endDate']
]);
1. I have set manual bid using *'manual_cpc' => new ManualCpc()* this. but
I can't set automatic bid (Maximize convesions). Pls let me know how I can
implement automatic bid strategy.
After creating campaign from google web UI following bidding strategy
displayed:
[image: bidding auto-max.png]

But when I tring to remove 'manual_cpc' & replace 'enhanced_cpc' => new
EnhancedCpc(), its giving error even for MaximizeConversionValue().

2. Also pls let me know AdvertisingChannelType::*SEARCH. *I have to update
for *DISPLAY. *Let me know How i can change search campaign for Display
because in campaign list its showing Search type not display.
[image: camp list.png]
But whenver ad can be generated from php api it showing responsive display

Re: Avoiding CUSTOMER_NOT_ENABLED error

2022-01-24 Thread 'Oksana Sulyma' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Peter,
Thanks for responding, I've just sent debugging info in private message.
However it might be not worth to check that details as I'm interested in
general adswer:

The problem is I see Failure:
{"errors":[{"errorCode":{"authorizationError":"CUSTOMER_NOT_ENABLED"},"message":"The

customer can't be used because it isn't enabled."}],"requestId":"*"}
only in debug logs. I'm following the code of this official example
https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-php/blob/24928aeaf39acdab213f714b61b40828b1b8c8ec/examples/AccountManagement/GetAccountHierarchy.php
and I get only 'Given value is not an instance of Google\Protobuf\Any.'
message when I try - catch:
try {
$accounts_hierarchy +=
$this->createCustomerClientToHierarchy($root_customer_id);
} catch (Throwable $error) {
print_r($error->getMessage()); -> outputs 'Given value is not an instance
of Google\Protobuf\Any.'
}

I wonder how can I modify the code to get exact error info
""errors":[{"errorCode":{"authorizationError":"CUSTOMER_NOT_ENABLED"},"message":"The

customer can't be used because it isn't enabled."}" ?

Thanks!

Forward slash in query

2022-01-24 Thread Алексей Власов
Hi,
I'm trying to get specific account_budget by using billing_setup property
Example of query:
$search = 'SELECT account_budget.approved_spending_limit_micros '
.'FROM account_budget '
.'WHERE account_budget.billing_setup = ' .
ResourceNames::forBillingSetup($customerId,
$billingSetupId);
Variable $search is correct, without escaping.

I'm getting error because of escaping forward slash:
[{"errorCode":{"queryError":"UNEXPECTED_INPUT"},"message":"Error in query:
unexpected input \/."}]
Request: {"query":"SELECT account_budget.approved_spending_limit_micros
FROM account_budget WHERE account_budget.billing_setup = custom
ers\/xx\/billingSetups\/yy"} (xx and yy real ids)
Is there any way to solve this problem?
Thanks for any help!,
Alexei

User doesn't have permission to access customer Error in Google Ads API

Hello! I try to change our code from Adwords API to Google Ads Api. I did

have an error.

In Adwords API all works fine.
How to fix this problem? Maybe need to put a check mark somewhere?

RE: Same Developer Token for All Manager Accounts?

2022-01-24 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thanks for posting your concern.

To answer your question, it's not needed to create developer tokens for each
manager account. You just need to create a developer token from one of your MCC
accounts, then you can use it to your MCC accounts. Please note that the MCC
accounts where you will use the developer token should be under the same
organization with the MCC account where the developer token is generated.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Migrate extensions from feed-based to asset-based

2022-01-24 Thread Roman Bondarenko
Hello team!

Currently working on a migration from feed-based extensions to asset-based
extensions for *Call* and *App* types.
Have a question about removing feeds.

This page

mentions that feeds can be removed from *CampaignExtensionSetting *and
after that just need to send a remove request to *ExtensionFeedItemService *to
remove feeds themselves*. *

Is this possible to remove feeds without interacting with
*CampaignExtensionSetting* service? Or this is a necessary step?

I understand that the *CampaignExtensionSetting* service only connects
extensions with campaigns and deleted feeds still will be linked to a
campaign but with *Removed* status.
So when the auto-migration date comes for *Call* and *App* extensions will
this cause troubles? Will be redundant assets created for those feeds with
*Removed* status or not? As we don't want duplicates to be created)

I hope my question is clear:)
Thanks  

Please help to advise how to get Campaign Type & Campaign Objective via API:

2. I can't find any possible key for the Campaign objective on API
Document. Is it supported on API?

Thanks & Regards,

I found this discussion

the guys say that
1. We can create 100,000 user in one request
(AddOfflineUserDataJobOperationsRequest)
2. We can submit multiple request for one job (OfflineUserDataJob)
3. Each time we run a job, mutate operations count increases 1 (with basic
level, we have limit of 15,000 operations/day)
so what does that mean i can create more than 15000 users in a day with a
base token?

Re: Get account information

2022-01-24 Thread 'Hao Long' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Baker,

The current pending issue is how to get the account labels on client
account, the account will help us to derive some useful fields like
channel/subchannel

and we tried your suggestion get the resource_name from customer_client
and is returned customers/***/customerClients/***
not customers/{customer_id}/labels/{label_id}

unexpected error TOO_MANY_USER_IDENTIFIERS when add_offline_user_data_job_operations

2022-01-24 Thread Keisuke Motoda
 environment
python==3.9.6
google-ads==13.0.0
-

I met an error TOO_MANY_USER_IDENTIFIERS when doing
"add_offline_user_data_job_operations" with python library.

Our python system that append user id to an audience with python handles
with up to 20M userId list.

the system divides list of userId into 100K if the list size over 100K,
then calls "add_offline_user_data_job_operations".

This system works well (w/o TOO_MANY_USER_IDENTIFIERS error) at least until
Jan 21st 2022.

Then when did at Jan 24th 2022, We came to get an error below.

```
Maximum number of user identifiers allowed per request is 100,000 and per
operation is 20.
offline_user_data_job_error: TOO_MANY_USER_IDENTIFIERS
```

So, We did with 20 userId list as trial, there was no error.
and when 21 userId list, the error occurs.

and also, the error message of "TOO_MANY_USER_IDENTIFIERS" is not same as
this
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v8/OfflineUserDataJobErrorEnum.OfflineUserDataJobError

Our questions are
1. Has the spec of this api changed recently?
2. Concretely, what is "request", "operation" in the error message?
3. How handle the process when 20M userId list?

Thank you for advance.

RE: Encountering errors trying to create self refresh token

2022-01-24 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Doron,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

With regard to your "previous post", it seems that your post has already been
removed. Then, for the error that you've encountered, can you confirm if you're
using the latest python library version? It mentioned that, as of v20.0.0 this
library is not compatible with Python versions less than Python 3.6. Also suds
is no longer supported in this library, zeep is now the only supported SOAP
client.

In addition to that, I've seen this forum thread that has the same concern as
yours but was able to fix their concern by installing the new ubuntu operating
system. I would suggest doing the same and check if this works for you. You can
also check the similar case in the github issue tracker, and post an issue
related to this on the said issue tracker.

RE: Need to replicate the behavior of AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

2022-01-24 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello Matias,

I'm Jinky from Google Ads API Team also. Thanks for reaching out to us.

For us to check your concern and to provide appropriate suggestions, could you
provide the report definition to know the exact query that you've used in
Adwords API? Also, can you please provide the Customer ID of the Google Ads
account where you generate reports using Adwords API?

You can send the information I requested using the Reply privately to author
option. If this option is not available, then send it instead on this email
address googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

Re: CampaignCriterionOperation IpBlockInfo criterion_id from response

Hi Andras,

Thank you for your reply.

You can use the campaign_criterion report to retrieve the details such as
campaign_criterion.criterion_id and campaign_criterion.ip_block.ip_address. Let
me know if this helps.

RE: RunOfflineUserDataJobAsync does sequential Processing of Submitted Jobs?

2022-01-24 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for posting your concern. Allow me to provide support here.

For your 1st question, I can confirm that the order of the execution would also
be same based on the statement below that discussed here:
When you run your job, the Google Ads API will first mark all current members
of the list for removal, and then apply the create operations.

As for the second question, I don't see any issues here as you followed the
below statement which is also described in the link I provided earlier:
Avoid simultaneously running multiple OfflineUserDataJob processes that modify
the same user list (that is, multiple jobs whose
CustomerMatchUserListMetadata.user_list point to the same resource name). Doing
so can result in a CONCURRENT_MODIFICATION error since multiple jobs are not
permitted to operate on the same list at the same time. This error can also
occur if attempting to simultaneously modify a list through the Google Ads UI
and the Google Ads API. Note that this does not apply to adding operations to
an existing job, which can be done at any time before the job is started.

Let me know if you have further questions.

UAC app campaign gclids (play store referrer url) not visible in click_view report?

2022-01-24 Thread 'Lorenz' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum

Hi,

we can't use the Firebase SDK in our Android app due to legal reasons,
so we are looking for alternative ways to assign app installs to UAC
campaigns.

All the UAC campaign Android installs have a glid url param in the play
store referrer url.

But when we query these gclids in the ads api click_view nothing shows up.

Also when I query the UAC campaigns in the click_view nothing shows up.

(Standard web campaign gclids in other campaigns work fine...)

How can we get the click details for these UAC gclids?

Thanks for your help,

Lorenz
