Is there a way to specify the time zone for Segment Date during data collection

2022-03-17 Thread pchu
Hi,

According to this post, when collecting data using the segment.date, the
date/time is based on the account's time zone.

https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api/c/BgfSVOfgZpw/m/WCB-DPbQBgAJ

Is there a way to specify the time zone when performing this query to
extract data?

Thanks!

remove_all in OfflineUserDataJobService

2022-03-17 Thread Jacek T
Hi, instead of incrementally adding and removing members of user list, I'm
considering a remove_all operation on an existing list and a create
operation for that same list, all part of the same OfflineUserDataJob.
Would that interrupt the ads that are being served based on that user list?
Since the remove_all operation can take many hours to complete would ads
stop being served until the user list is repopulated?

What types of Conversion types can be uploaded by UploadClickConversionsRequest and UploadCallConversionsRequest

2022-03-17 Thread Patrick O'Neil
I have a manager account that we use to manage other clients' conversions
and I keep a table of all of their conversions. We use the
UploadClickConversionsRequest and UploadCallConversionsRequest objects to
submit the conversions from our system.

Below is a list of the different ConversionTypes that our clients use. Can
anyone tell me if all of these can be submitted via the API or is it only a
subset of these. Also, which ones are classified as Call Conversions and
which ones are Click Conversions?

Re: top_impression_percentage and absolute_top_impression_percentage together with geo_target_most_specific_location

2022-03-17 Thread sebastia...@gmail.com
Update re my comment about the tiny difference between the geographic_view
and user_location_view report.

I tried specifically querying the geographic_view for only physical
location rows with the where clause geographic_view.location_type =
LOCATION_OF_PRESENCE. This simply excluded the 26 rows.

It's not preferable to seemingly loose an arbitrary number of rows. BUT
short-term I'm ok with using the geographic_view report if it's easier to
simply only turn on so we can query it for
geo_target_most_specific_location together with the metrics in question,
than adding the metrics to the user_location_view report. According to my
quick tests the number of rows we would loose seem to be negligible.

But ideally we would of course want to use the user_location_view and not
have to worry about dropping any rows.

Cannot found field from adwords api in google ads api

2022-03-17 Thread Iván López
Hello,

I am migrating some processes form adwords API to Google Ads API. I have
encountered a problem with a field that I was requesting through Adwrods
API.

I am able to request "IsPathExcluded" from "URL_PERFORMANCE_REPORT" to know
(ad adwrods docu says) "if the URL or placement is currently excluded"

But I see that the equivalent report in google ads api is
"detail_placement_view" and I cannot find a field that gives me the info
whether the placement is excluded or not. Neither in segments nor in the
"group_placement_view" and "managed_placement_view" report.

Is the anyway to get this info? Is the any other report in google ads api
more equivalent to "URL_PERFORMANCE_REPORT" from adwords?

Thank you,

Iván

Re: Adding adgroup Audience segments (Affinity + in-market) Observation

2022-03-17 Thread Patrick
Hi, I think I got this working by using an AdGroupCriterion and setting the
UserInterestCategory, (snippet of php code below)

...
$adGroupCriterion = new AdGroupCriterion();
$userInterestInfo = new UserInterestInfo();
$userInterestInfo->setUserInterestCategory(ResourceNames::forUserInterest($customerId,

$interestId));
$adGroupCriterion->setUserInterest($userInterestInfo);
$adGroupCriterion->setAdGroup(ResourceNames::forAdGroup($customerId,
$adGroupId));
...

Does that sound right?
Thanks

Two tokens in google adword api are not in google ads v10

2022-03-17 Thread 박주호
I have basic token and standard token in google ads.
In the google words api, each of the basic and standard was available for
advertising reports:
However, after changing to google ads api v10, only the report is received
as a standard, and when requesting a report with a basic token,
DEVELOPER_TOKEN_PROHIBITED occurs.
However, you can still receive reports as basic token in adwords api.
Why not google ads v10?

RE: login_customer_id issue

2022-03-17 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

You may double check if the user / email address you used to generate the
credentials indeed has access to the account in your request( your
login-customer-id field). The USER_PERMISSION_DENIED error usually indicates
that you are authenticating as a user that does not have access to the target
account specified in your API request.

To avoid the said error, you will need to ensure that the user / email address
you used to generate the credentials indeed has access to the account in your
request. If the user / email address has access or is associated to the MCC /
manager account, you will need to specify the said MCC / manager account's ID
without hyphen(-) as the value of the login-customer-id field.

If you still persist with the error, you may provide us with the complete
request and response logs, with the request-id along with the email address
used to generate the OAuth2 credentials via Reply to Autor Privately option, so
that I can continue to investigate further.

Migration from AdwordsAPI to Google Ads API

2022-03-17 Thread Titus Filip
Hello,

Right now we are using AdwordsAPI and we want to migrate to Google Ads API
The project were we use this has symfony 4.0, php7.2.29 and we use the php
library googleads-php-lib v38.

1) To use the Google Ads APi do we need to use this php library
google-ads-php ?
2) If we need to use google-ads-php library is ok to use the version
compatible with php 7.2 (google-ads-php v6.1) ?
3) or we need to use the latest version google-ads-php with php 7.4?
4) Or we can still use googleads-php-lib but with a new version for Google
Ads API ? or we cannot use googleads-php-lib anymore for Google Ads API?

Best Regards,
Titus

To further check your concern and to know if it is possible to retrieve using

Re: top_impression_percentage and absolute_top_impression_percentage together with geo_target_most_specific_location

2022-03-17 Thread sebastia...@gmail.com
Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Setting and adjusting location bid adjustments based on users' physical
location is the core of our bidding strategy. We currently use the Adwords
API equivalent of the user_location_view report and the two metrics in
question to do that.

For a clean migration we would need to be able to query the
user_location_view report for segments.geo_target_most_specific_location
together with these two metrics.

Given our campaigns' settings it looks like using the geographic_view also
could work for us. We never target locations of interest so according to
the docs we should get the users' physical location from the
geographic_view report. I pulled data for one day from both reports and
compared them and out of 250708 rows only 26 rows differed. The only
difference was that for these 26 rows the geographic_view for some reason
returned the area of interest instead of the physical location. Everything
else and all other rows were identical. But this is a smaller issue and not
relevant if we can query the user_location_view instead.

Happy to provide additional details if you need it!

Thanks

/Sebastian

Adding adgroup Audience segments (Affinity + in-market) Observation

2022-03-17 Thread Patrick
Hi,

Are there any guidelines on how to add specific affinity and In-market
audience segments to an adgroup in observation mode with the api?

In the UI they are under Audience > Edit audience segments. Then from
there you can choose Observation > "What their interests and habits are"
(Affinity), etc.

Thanks

Internal error while polling for batch job

2022-03-17 Thread Justin Knight
Hi,
we're using API v10 via the python client library 15.0.0

We received the exception below while waiting for batch job completion.
Previous polls waiting for completion completed successfuly, I've included
the last one at the top of log below.

We're using the following code to wait for the response:
loop = asyncio.get_event_loop()

def _done_callback(future):
# The operations_response object will call callbacks from a
daemon
# thread so we must use a threadsafe method of setting the
event here
# otherwise it will not trigger the awaiting code.
loop.call_soon_threadsafe(event.set)

# operations_response represents a Long-Running Operation or LRO.
The class
# provides an interface for polling the API to check when the
operation is
# complete. Below we use the asynchronous interface, but there's
also a
# synchronous interface that uses the Operation.result method.
# See:
https://googleapis.dev/python/google-api-core/latest/operation.html
operations_response.add_done_callback(_done_callback)

Device id upload to device audience stuck in Running state

2022-03-17 Thread Paid Media
Hi

I am trying to upload the device ids to device-based audiences using the
asynchronous API. The first API call to submit the job and run it is
getting successful.
But this job is stuck in running state for more than 10 days. I have tried
to replicate this scenario multiple times and every time I am observing the
same behavior that jobs are stuck in a Running state forever.

Could you please look into this and let me know why these jobs are getting
stuck in Running?
I will be providing logs of requests and responses in a follow-up message.

login_customer_id issue

2022-03-17 Thread charles lerasan
hi I have been reading a lot of answers and googled a few solutions. but
none is working

To start.
I have a manager account : 123-456-7890
I have multiple client accounts under that manager account:
client_1 : 111-111-111-1
client_2: 222-222-222-2

Now, I am lost what is the login customer id. I tried using the ID [image:
101.JPG]
But none of the IDs are working. When I used the Customer ID i am getting
this:
"User doesn\'t have permission to access customer. Note: If you\'re
accessing a client customer, the manager\'s customer id must be set in the
\'login-customer-id\' header. See
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/concepts/call-structure#cid;

I was able to get reports properly using the AdwordsClient but now that I
am migrating to GoogleAdsClient I am getting this issue :(

Please help.

Re: Mock Google Ads API request

2022-03-17 Thread Javier Val
Thank you both very much for your answers.

For our unit tests we will rely on the Google Ads .NET client package
sources, as Zweitze suggests. And for our integration tests I think using
test accounts and validate_only is a very good solution.

Thanks for your help.
Regards

About google ads api

2022-03-17 Thread 郑晓威
Hi,
I have a requirement like this:
I need to track the user's actions in the advertisement, such as the number
of times the user clicks the advertisement or clicks the registration
button in the advertisement, and then uploads the data to the google ad
background for the operators to analyze and count.
I am a java developer and I was told that I can use the google ads api. I
want to confirm first, can google ads api support my needs? I looked at the
google ads api, except that I have to use the authorization interface of
oauth2, I have
The interface "Method: customers.uploadClickConversions" is found under
REST Interface. Can I use this interface to accomplish my needs?

Regards,
wangcheng.
